I play on x2.5, so I don't think so. People I have played with people before who play on like x5 though.

P.S. What's a good keyboard that has a great response time, durable, can play Stepmania very well (hitting jacks good, great response time etc. etc.) and can also handle playing O2Jam?

yeah well everyone starts off slow at first, but the regulars usually play on x4 speed, and x5 speed for songs lower than 140 bpm, so yeah, it is slow rofl

play more, up your speed mod once you reach a skill cap or something
also i still can't get into the server ;_;

get a razer lycosa since xiao said it's really good, better hope that it can hit 7 keys at the same time
mines is a really cheap keyboard, some unknown brand, about RM20 or so, that's like.. 6 US dollars ?_?

I use a logitech classic 200 and afaik it hits all 7 keys at once (haven't played o2jam in forever though)

I play x3 from 150-185
x4 100-149
x5 for anything slower

I'm a really slow reader. I can't read fast, I'm just like that. I can play 1x on DDR/ITG perfectly fine, so it doesn't inhibit me at all. It's simply a matter of my finger co-ordination. There's a certain pattern I can't hit:

I can't do it on either hand.

It's pissing me off.

p.s. I haven't gotten a Razer yet; from what I've been told it's EXTREMELY good for any sort of gaming (esp. rhythm gaming), and it prevents anti-ghosting (which is what prevents you from pressing x amount of keys simultaneously).

I'm going to get one ASAP though, so I'll let you know how it turns out.

SM players call it a bracket. There's plenty of them in songs above lvl 30, the obvious one being red sign Hx, if you shuffle it and get bracket patterns >_> really tough to master, I can do brackets at 160(?) bpm 16ths at most, linus can do faster though, since he FC'd mendes in solo, i get like 4-5 cbs lmao

i have yet to see anyone FCC(Full Cool Combo) anything in x1 speed lmao
but it's fine if you're 100% comfortable with your current speed, i've seen jammers from china beat my x4 score with a x1 score on vid >_>
plus in the old malaysian server, many of the players were playing at x5 speed at 150 bpm, guess what, even though the timing window got larger, they all sucked, only the x4 players and players who can read x1 are good :>
edit: oh one more thing, there's a bunch of tablets when you play a song, everytime you get a bad, it changes it to a cool, and your combo is maintained. 15 straight cools is needed for one tablet, 5 maximum, so if you manage to FC a tough song, it's probably the tablets

Yeah, I remember the tablet system from when I used to play mO2J. By the time I get one, it's gone an instant later, so they don't really matter to me since I can never keep more than 1 on level 20+ songs.

Also that Distro accuracy is sick, and Gengaozo sightread is bitching (since, well, it's a sightread); I can't even pass Gengaozo on Nx rofl

I'll be a Malaysian too, one day. Just you watch :V

So im close to FCing %E-XT on NX. I could FC HX in like...a few months if I tried enough but that ending is so damn hard.
Also I got way worse at this game. You'd think IIDX would help a lot (especially since I can pass almost everything) but it makes it harder. Stupid holds lol.

No it happened in the real game too. O2Jam is combo based more than Cool based.


Also HOLY **** I ALMOST PASSED GAUSSIAN BLUR HX (and Phase 1 but i've almost passed Phase 1 like 204854734 times rofl).
