well, looks like its really down:

We are having issues with our host. We are currently obtaining a new host to move everything to. Once we are set up at the new location the SMOnline server will be functional again.

    Please be patient
    SMOnline Dev Team

And any ideas about my questions on the last post?

sweet, i only wish there were more people on smoline at a given time, and that more people used the pad.

hurrah! with the new release of smOnline (01-28) My pad controls stay even after i exit the program, but im still confused about how the high scores and stuff stay on the machine, and what i should do to keep it all from release to release? Maybe just copy the data folder?

sorry for the double post, but didnt really make sense to just edit the last one.

I sent this to the so called service people here at college that keep the network up and "running." When I say running, I mean worse than a 28.8k modem for many, many programs

Oh look, MSN Messenger just went down... nice... That's about the fifth time today.

I'm ranting.. In any case, let me get to my point. I would like SOMETHING to actually work here at Ferris. This game is called Stepmania. It actually requires very little bandwidth, but evenso, there is a good 3-5 minute delay (often times it won't even work). Right now they are in the beta testing stages of the online portion of the program.

            Here is the main site:

Here is the site that is doing the online portion:

The current IP addresses for the game are:
            smonline.cnlohr.net
            CNLohr.net

The current port for the game is:
            8765

I would greatly appreciate it if you got this working. It's been REALLY frustrating to have most programs run worse than a 28.8 would provide and I would like to play something online.

            Thanks.
