In all seriousness, at bare minimum songs like that should be tagged NSFW and hidden by default in the same way the legacy songs are currently, but honestly if the staff have any sense of decency at all the worst offenders should be outright removed because that song was horrible and sexist and made me not want to play FFR.

i dont read mod posts cause they're normally too long and hardly digestible but can anyone summarize the stance on highly suggestive content? like a background where two chicks are scissoring but the photographer was really clever and nothing exclicit is being shown..

The summary is, if you have to ask, assume that it goes too far. Staff does not want to draw hard lines on the matter because even then there would be certain artworks that fall within and without the Hardline boundaries.
The preferred rule against nudity and pornography is to keep it vague, and employ that "I know it when I see it" argument for when something crosses the line.

That is the band, and is one of the songs by them that I and Marcus referenced earlier in the thread that I would like to either label as explicit, or if labeling is not possible, remove.

Allow me to provide another perspective.

I want you guys on this site to be safe from legal trouble, and if we start introducing specific criteria without a catch-all, it'll bring us closer to having to be compliant with specific laws about site content. For example, we don't want to have to add a "Are you 18 or older?" popup when entering the site. And when it comes to laws, it makes sense to go by the legal guidelines for nudity.

There's nudity as a concept and then legal nudity. If we specifically say "yeah no nipples or vaginas on female art is fine", someone could post 100% naked art but with convenient censoring and that would be a loophole. That's not going to fly -- the intent is what's important, and making sure we're safe from legal matters is also important.

It's not about judging others for "lewd" content, it's to make sure we don't have to stress out about legal stuff. I don't care if you are into hardcore stuff, as long as it's not being dumped here.

Unfortunately, the administration don't agree with me that, for example, our game should not contain a song called "(Gonna Rape) Kylie"

i've seriously been thinking about stepping and submitting a song just to be alphabetically before that, because boy is it something to see by default on the level list

not that that would solve the problem very quickly, and only really relocate the laundry

obligatory not a mod but you'd think shame would be a decent control beyond the letter of the rules in this case, but i suppose not if there's a thread about it
