when did it switch from working well to not working well? what did you change that may have caused it? those 2 questions are the important ones... randomly throwing out possible fixes may work, but answering those 2 questions SHOULD work, as there has to be a logical explanation as to why something would work one day and stop working the next.

It stopped working a few days before I updated flash, and I have no idea what it could've been I haven't changed anything at all.

Deinstall flash player 10. This software isn't bug-free yet, honestly it sucks in my opinion. Then download flash player 9 again. Then it should (actually) work. If not, then I can't help you either :/

Well then, the only opinion i have for you is to back up your files and clean install your computer.
That's what i had to do once and trust me, it's a long process backing up all the stuff you want unless if you don't have that much stuff on your computer which i doubt. =/
I've done a lot of research during the past and on most computer websites, they recommend that you should clean install your computer every 3-5 years especially people who are online most of the time because a lot of junk tends to build up from all the websites visited that contains unwanted malicious software, internet download errors, adware, malware, spyware, etc.
Most people nowadays uses some kind of anti-virus software protection and some kind of anti-spyware protection. This helps prevents most of the junk from coming on your computer but it can't get everything all the time. If your computer is old, and you haven't clean install it once, then i think you should go for it. If it's relatively new but still has a lot of errors, then i think you still should clean install your computer. If your computer was fine one day and then the next day, it's lagging as hell, then listen to what Tass said otherwise, i can't help you. Sorry!
