I heard that Firefox 3 runs FFR the smoothest. But ever since I downloaded it i've been experiencing HUGE amounts of lag, and I can't type in MP chat. Can anyone help me?

I downloaded it about 15 minutes ago, I tried it, and it gave the biggest lag ever, now I'm on ff2 again.

FF2 lagged for me (I use vista) and then tried FF3 lagged a little, but after a while I could almost AAA challenging and single digit very challenging songs.

I've downloaded it and I'm switching back to FF2 IE just creates wasteful files in my computer (About 1,000 a day, stupid quarantine) Safari was good but the constant accidents happened when I was playing ffr.Comment

i think what these posts show is that it depends on the machine. each person therefore needs to find what works best for them.
although, overall, i've seen that IE works best for people. aka, the fewest people have issues with IE and the most people find that IE runs FFR the best. I use IE7.RIPComment

I think I figured out the problem. Firefox 3 uses more cpu power for flash programs making them smoother, but if it uses so much power that it maxes out your cpu usage, there will be lag spikes.

Ergo, if you have a sucky computer, FFR will lag, but if you have a moderately good computer, it'll run even better than before.

How do I go back to FF2? I installed FF3 thinking it would work but after about a minute into a song it has a huge lag. And it's completely random. I went back to playing on my laptop because it was always the laggiest and figured....why not put FF3 because it will make it even better. But now i keep having horrible lag out of the blue and my laptop NEVER did that.
Any help on getting back 2?
