I honestly can't see how anyone could think IE is better than FF other than for the sake of familiarity. Most people start out with IE and some of them just don't want to change.

i use IE on my dektop because it lags less but when it comes to my laptop ff all the way

Disregarding Flash, Firefox has far less errors than IE. The engine handles everything better, especially Javascript. Also, IE does not have an Error Console or useful developer add-ons, etc.

Tass did say it depends on the machine, and I agree. I've found that Firefox uses more memory than IE (though FF3 uses much less than FF2).
