Personal Best! It's a New Record!

So here is a suggestion from my point of view. I am using all these details based on experience of what I would use, so i'd like to hear some input on this.

I know theres a level rank page, where you can go, and blah blah blah. The subscribers page even has a newer "Beta Reader" which shows how many P/G/A/M/B + MC.

Taking the time out to search for your song, to see if you've Fc'ed it, usually I just boo out of a game to see what my score was, where i'm ranked, etc etc. I want to play, I don't want to go into the level rank, ctrl+f, and find a song, I should be able to scroll in the game and find the score there.

Picture this.
Jaito: Lalala, I think i'll play me some Excite bike! Woo! Wait, omg have I AAA'd it yet... omg gotta go to the level rank... jeez... to much hassle, and to lazy, all I want to do is hit arrows NOW!


So you take the extra few minutes to go search, and realize omg, you did AAA it, now you've wasted time to pwn the next person in front of your rank. Now your extremely mad, so you throw your milk chug across the room, and it spills and you have to clean it up.


Here's a solution!



Now when you click on songs, you can see your personal best. This will save time and trouble for users that just want to play and also be able to easily navigate how well they have done. It's could be a small update or something, Idk, it just came to me.

EDIT: Some more thoughts upon opinions.

Showing the score, in addition should be a completion count streak.

1000 notes in a song. If you autofail, it shows your best rank, and you autofail set at 200 perfects.
Your score would look weird, and maybe even think it's an AAA at P:200 and the rest at 0. So underneath maybe have a 200/1000 (20%) complete. Etc, it's a weird idea. Solutions?

Being that I own my own rhythm site, FFR is a community, and without members a site is nothing more than a mere webpage, and without suggestions they could not expand to a basis of the community itself. If it would happen, it probably wouldn't just be an update for this. Maybe when they throw in some new features, such as holds, etc, whatever they may please, they can throw in another feature like this in that package. It's something that could be in their minds now, so they know what to work with.

I like the idea but you might want to try taking it a step further by showing if you have a AAA on it or not. That'd be really helpful for me anyways. a way it might look ls like this:

I like the idea but you might want to try taking it a step further by showing if you have a AAA on it or not.

Not that far. Theres some flaws with my design, aswell as yours.

You see, people could have auto-fail on. Simply autofail at so many perfects and have that score on something else. A little star or something to show that the song has been FC'd, and it's a little obvious if you have all perfects, it's an AAA.

Well, Midnight, one quick look at your level stats and you could probably find out.

Level stats take a while to load for certain computers, and this way you would know if you AAA/FC'd a song just by clicking it.

I believe for people who truly would like to improve their scores, and not abuse it, would simply use that to boost their scores next time, to see what they need to get next time. You get like 25 goods on Vertex Beta, and you click it, and your like, ok that's my next goal. 24 goods ftw

Again, it should only appear if you have played the whole entire song. Not showing for autofails. Or even so, it really depends, because you want it to be able to show all the notes.

Say you Autofail set to 200 perfects.

You hit all perfects and it exits you.

P: 200
G: 0
A: 0
M: 0
B: 0

That's what it would look like. So it should only record if all the notes have been used. Or even add a note streak

200/1000 notes.

Showing that you only completed 20% of the song.

just to point out... in the results screen, you can view your personal best on the level played as well as your current rank on the song. that isn't good enough?

But Tasselnator, you must realize today's youth is extra lazy.

Before, you'd ask them to get up and change the channel on the TV, and they'd do it.

Nowadays, you ask them to vacuum, they'll pull out an iRobot and not even set it up properly.

hahaha lol sorry that was funny. I like this idea though, because I want to see what I have to beat to get a new record for a song.

How about you just fail out the song and if your best rank on it shows up as 1 then you know that you AAA'd and all you would have to do then if you haven't is hit replay song... not that difficult.



Also why is the score after you finish a song so off center now?
