    Glitches

I have been having some glitches while I play some songs...Is that normal? Or am I just too young of a member to know this? Anyways, I just wanted to know, thanks.

Like, when I am playing a song (any song) I will have times when the ffr complettely frozes for a second or 2, then come back to normal with my combo erased and saying i have missed a few.

just adjust the quality and it should run smoothly.

Reducing the quality (Q button in the top left) helps sometimes, but not always. I still get brief pauses like cookiemonster28 describes even when I turn down the quality and shut down a number of the programs sitting in my taskbar. I'm not sure what's causing it, but that lag is annoying. Half of the time big combos get broken it's because of these lags/pauses.

It's the speed of your computer that causes lag. Nothing else affects lag.

In closing, get a new computer.

Or shut down stuff you're not using.

Sheesh, you're as bad as first level tech support: my hard drive's making strange noises -- buy a new one. Are your solutions always that extreme? No, I am not getting a new computer simply to play a game. No game is worth that. I probably will be getting one in the near future, but that's because I'm planning to buy one after graduating. I've tried shutting down programs. I just went so far as to do a control-alt-delete and kill everything possible in there. There are four things left -- my IE web browser, Explorer, Systray, and Syntplpr which for some reason won't die when I tell it to. That's it. I just tried Raindrops figuring it's a nice long song to test lag on -- it lagged within like the first 50 arrows or something, pretty quickly. OK, my computer's no longer top of the line, but it's an 800MHz Pentium III laptop. Are you seriously telling me that isn't enough to run a stupid little flash game without lag? If so, maybe the game needs reworking; it is still considered beta after all.

There is nothing more that I could say than adjust the quality.

If you are at the lowest quality, and you still lag, then it might just be a problem with your computer.

I get not lag at all, so that means it has nothing to do with the FFR program.

It is probably the speed of your internet connection that's slowing it down. Also, do you have a wireless internet connection (over a wireless LAN)?. I've noticed that wireless internet connections on some wireless network cards sometimes go down for about half a second or so, for what seems like no reason at all. This could be your problem. Try upgrading your internet connection or your wireless network card.
