I'm thinking we need a team of the more intelligent players to make some riddles for FFR.

If you guys want me to stop submitting hard files just TELL me instead of stuffing all my best work into tokens nobody will ever get. Or at least make the requirements not totally retarded (AAA this file only two dozen people can get! Play a god-****ing-awful file on a different game for 24 hours!)

While I don't enjoy V4N's stepping, and don't agree with his syncing, you're starting shit by saying this. I know you're quite pissed off about this, but watch how you word things. :C

I really like the idea of getting a token for playing on Thirdstyle. Really neat. Hope more of that happens in the future. However, most passes on the file is a terribly dumb requirement.

It's not a bad idea, the requirement SMELLS AWFUL, and is only for people like me and other fgts with nothing to do ever.

This is just one of many things to come for this token. I mean if it weren't used for an event it wouldn't have been released till after the official so you could look at it in that light. I orig recommended vROFL for this event, JX wanted to make a new token. What if I added it to the prizes of the official tourney? Would that make you a little less upset? I could do like top 12 or something.

Yes the point was to get FFR players to play TS and there should be something coming up that you play on FFR for a prize on TS. Otherwise what incentive does one have to play one game or the other if they don't already?

This could be a temporary appeal, but most people are probably eyeing for the next site-wide chance that anyone can reasonably get. What and when that next chance may be gets people anxious because this is currently the only way of obtaining the token. The incentive for people to play TS more backfires because not many people would end up playing a single song the whole day.

I'm at work myself, so no chance of me getting this (nor would I have tried more than 10 plays or so anyhow).

Fair enough.
After playing it again I'll settle for, "extremely long, inconsistently stepped file with numerous technical and sync-related errors"
While my personal opinion on the file still stands, hopefully that's a little bit more concrete reasoning as to why.

At the very least TS could have used AJ's recently released file for Mirage Garden. It got great reviews as far as I can tell (as opposed to that Dimrain file lmfao) and it would fit in really well with the token also being a xi song.


Overall I just feel absolutely no thought goes into token requirements, which is something that really has to change considering something around 15% of all FFR files are tokens at this point.

This just causes temporary hype for it. I for one feel with such a requirement that I have played enough TS for my FFR life.

I personally would find having a file in at all is an honor (then again I have none, hi19 has a buttload) in itself. Most people want their files seen and played, not kept quiet, secretive and exclusive.

EDIT: yea 222 bpm dense js sounds really fun. I'd like to play THAT file, not some (apparently) not-so-good file for hours (not to mention 5 min file? -.-) just to find out it may hve been for nothing (not ending up in top 10), would be a waste of whoring hours.
