I actually find having more stamina when my nails have grown a bit but lose consistency when they become too long.

The only time I have ever noticed this is when I tried to play with fake nails on. Otherwise, I pick at (not bite!) my nails a lot, so they usually end up at a manageable length without me having to worry about them.

For some reason I do better with longer nails. Eventually I have to cut them off though and then I seem to get worse. I think I do better with it because of the fact that I dont have to use as much energy to hit the keys or something idk.

My nails are too hard to bite off. They're almost too hard to cut, so I need to take a bath to soften them before i can cut them. my aunt is a guitarist who picks with her real fingernails so my family has some crazy nail genes or something.
If I'm mashing I like having medium length nails because its "crisper" or something

Yeah I never understood nail biting, mine are too hard to bite at all as well. I cut them regularly though, I always have a nail clipper near with me at my computer.

Used to bite my toenails when I was 5, too. :C
Still haven't gotten out of the habit. It's faster to bite them off and it's a useful (not good for your teeth) habit.

I purposely let my nails grow sometimes.. feels good since I have flat keys.. makes mah fingers tingle for some reason xD
