    Exactly this.

    Some files I purposely used -4 and -5 offset which actually made the file feel more "onsync" but clearly much earlier than if you're going to the song. You use the offset that works best for you, and I can't tell what you prefer when you play files.

      I vote stepfiles be better sync'd/offset in general and people figure out what offsets work best for them for the files we have currently. =D

        The offset changes from computer to computer

        For example iirc bmah uses an offset of -1 for every song and I use an offset of +1 for almost every song

          On my computer I usually do -1 offset. I can usually detect whether my keytaps are offsync with the music 'see my video Crystal Wind'.. even AJ notices it too xd

            Yeah, I usually have no issue determining the offset needed to make my taps on sync with the music. I remember throwing offsets at Kayla to try for certain songs, one being Silence -- she took the offset I gave her (-2, iirc) and blackflagged it (oops).

              Being a stepartist helps me tell what the offset should be for files :}

                  Well, for starters:

                  Domani: (+12)

                  (And I usually AAA songs with offset 0, if anybody is interested)

                    Re: So That I Have Offset.....

                    Rather useless, since as I've stated before, the timing differs according to the sound output of your computer and the keys themselves. Because this variation is independent from the songs themselves, it's not useful to make an offset list that is supposedly applicable to every computer. I probably have a different offset for Domani than yours (most likely a frame lower - others may have a frame higher). The best a list can do is to get a general picture of what songs are more offbeat than others, but there is no standard, singular offbeat value for any given song.

                    Overall, it's better to have people just remember what songs need offset tweaking. Perhaps you can make a personal list for yourself. But there's no one-size-fits-all list for the public.

                      So, what about a base starting point for songs that are past, say... -5 or +5? I don't think we would need to worry about ones that are +1 or -1, just focus on ones that are painfully obvious.

                        The problem is perfectly syncing the original dwi does not always solve this offset issue.

                        But we still need informations for "obviously" offsync songs, and if we have the dwi we can fix it.

                          I use -10 offset for party4u v1 and it works.

                              Do a little searching around first.

                              I just did a forum search, and here's a good explanation: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ghlight=offset
