    if you can't find a suspend option you can download and use a program called "Process Explorer" which also allows you to suspend and resume programs. it's a bit buggy because windows (at least windows XP) doesn't expect you to completely freeze a program but it does what it says on the tin otherwise

      I just checked this, it is in fact listed as active within services.msc. Still though, having your computer settings set to "best for processing" and using a non-flash 10 standalone will more than solve any problems with lag. That is unless your computer is absolutely terrible OR is using the Windows Vista OS (which basically means it's terrible until you upgrade anyway). Even with Visa though, it will kill a lot of the lag, but random spikes will occur.
