AAAing isn't something that can be taught. AAAing is 80% skill and 20% luck.

I didn't get a AAA until excite bike came out... and i've been here almost 4 years

listen to your keytaps with the music.

or you've just got "offsync bug" like some people here.

                Re: AAA

All I can say is practice, I used to not be able to AAA anything, now I can consistently AAA C and lower songs no effort, but BF VC and higher. The key is to SDG. AAA'ing is a lot more luck than anything else, honestly. The human error element gives you around 2 goods max on average even if you're 'near perfect', so you just keep trying until the error is avoided. I still think AAA's are luck runs, which is why I have so many BF's, and after doing that, I play the song around 10-15 tries before a AAA (talking VC-FMO here, but that's because of my skill). When starting, if you can SDG, you can <4. If you can <4, you can BF. If you can BF, you can AAA. Just keep playing, and don't give up!
It's getting better all the time
I used to get mad at my school (No, I can't complain)
The teachers who taught me weren't cool (No, I can't complain)
You're holding me down (Oh Oh)
                Turning me round (Oh Oh)

                      This is getting sigged.

I've been using spread on the directionals for six years and you don't see me complaining, except when I want to FC/AAA a song with lots of chords. <<

                        Re: AAA

based on my ffr research from the past few days

                        heres what i would do:

i would mash my way to 700+ full combos

looking at that nearly full bar everyday will give you confidence plus other noobs will treat you like you're fairly decent at the game ha!ha!

once you have that full combo bar up to speed, i would then AAA all the 7's first then work down to 6 then 5 etc AAA'ing the 7's before the easier ones will build on your 700+ combo bar gained confindence and make the easier ones seem like a cake walk to at least 250 AAA's at this point other noobs will think you're a god

i wouldn't listen to any advice the pros give you, everyone who has done so have failed miserably at this game.

don't belive me? look for similar threads like this one there is alot of them, not hard to find, and everyone who thanked the pros for there advice has failed 100 percent look at there profiles for evidence

i would complety ignore the pros even if they give you advice (they will post in your help threads to just get a +1 post count (post count is important to these type of creatures), this is a given

if you don't ignore them, you will look really desperate and pathetic because you're trying to be accepted into some clique and will forever been seen by other noobs as a lickass and when they pass you in skill they will ignore you for being a brown nosed cretin (example:look for noob profiles with top ten friends who are all pro players. also note the pros have never talked to them)

just hang out with other noobs you have to understand pros don't want you to suceed (they like to feel they're more special then noobs) and if you get good they will give you BS calls for at least a year this is a given and is to be expected ignore this childish behaviour its there last attempt at feeling more speicial then you

I read a post that advised to play " For beginners " level songs to help build your accuracy. Things like Activity Unbroken and it's helping me a lot with the accuracy.

And how is it possible to AAA songs such as Death Piano? I understand the " Mash the freaking buttons " and I don't think that'd work. You can easily make mistakes while mashing buttons.

you can take that slippery road to mediocrity that others have taken before if you want

i'll carve my own road with my bare butt cheeks and end up with a 700+ full combo bar and 250 AAA's while not giving a **** and with no raging over an diffuculty 2

now stop caring about AAA's and mash your way to 700 full combo bar

                            then AAA some ****

I am trying, so far I've only gotten to the 2nd list of Dance genre with 31 FC's. So I'm working on that and my accuracy.

Also whatever advice anyone gives it's not like I'll follow it even if I see it has no effect on me getting better. For example if some pro tells me. You should play on the " For Guru's only " Difficulty to increase your accuracy, ofcourse I won't follow that advice because I know it's non-sense. Other than that, the best advice I've taken so far is use Spread, which helped me a lot.

One tip I could give you: try different game speeds. I used to play at speed 1.0x and I had problems with arrows seeming off-sync. Then I set the speed to 1.25x and it suddenly seemed a lot easier.

If it seems like the arrows go too fast, just stick with 1.0x for now, but remember the option for later It helped me a lot! You could make little increments like 1.05x, 1.10x, 1.15x, etc.
