    Re: Post your FFR/Stepmania resume

    2004:
    - Played DDR for the first time. Was p. hilarious
    - Friend introduced me to FFR at the end of the year. I started out my career passing Alpha Helix as my first song, only losing to him by a tiny bit (he had been playing for a couple months)

    2005:
    - Downloaded Stepmania with a couple random files from the database
    - Was terrible so I quit
    - Played FFR again in August, joined under the username of rshadow8888
    - Started playing Stepmania again late in the year
    - Played DDR

    2006:
    - Made first few files, all so horrible that I deleted them shortly after releasing them (wrong bpm, no sync, etc)
    - Continued to play FFR
    - Started to get active on the forums
    - Continued to play Stepmania (only random files from the simfile database)
    - Played DDR

    2007:
    - Made my first few legit files. Submitted 5 files to FFR, one of them accepted (after like 3 or 4 tries). Still my only file in FFR (till next batch when I send Black Apple)
    - Got more acquainted with the FFR forums (stopped being an udder retard)
    - Joined Red Fraction
    - Started to download good files for Stepmania
    - Switched from index (original playing style) to spread
    - Played DDR

    2008:
    - Released my first (and only) legit Stepmania file under the name rshadow
    - Joined ODI. Hated at first, but eventually became somewhat accepted
    - Quit and rejoined Red Fraction about 4 times due to massive drama
    - Abandoned the name rshadow and became Buizel
    - Submitted 5 or 6 files to Red Fraction Pack 2 (all rejected, but one close to being accepted I think)
    - Submitted 3 files to the FFRCP, all rejected
    - Joined Bluexoon
    - Became a judge for Bluexoon Pack 2
    - Submitted 4 files to Bluexoon Pack 2, all accepted (aka my files don't suck anymore)
    - Quit and rejoined Stepmania 2 or 3 times (thanks Kommi :-/)
    - Played ITG for the first time in July while visiting Kommi in Canada

    2009:
    - Helped with the releasing of Bluexoon Pack 2
    - Quit and rejoined Stepmania
    - Playing DDR
    - Playing ITG
    - Still making files, mostly unreleased pad files tho
<%SSH|Korysar> does anyone else watch pornos for the soundtrack
<Mehified> No offense to you tho xd
<@Alive> i misunderstood the meaning of shiney instruments and he tole me to calm down

      Re: Post your FFR/Stepmania resume

      2003:
      - Discovered DDR at an arcade and FFR from a friend, used one-handed style
      - Didn't have internet at home, discovered SM from a friend, put SM onto my comp via burnt CD-R and had to make simfiles for myself to play
      - Continued with FFR whenever I got the chance (lol public libraries)

      2004:
      - Got internets
      - Continued with SM/FFR
      - Made more simfiles, still one-handed style
      - Started playing DDR at home using cheap Beat Pad, started at pad 6's

      2005-06:

      - Upgraded to index, could now pass up to index 12's
      - Started making index simfiles
      - Received Ignition 2.0 for xmas, currently could do a few pad 10's
      - Discovered ITG
      - L3, Legend, Gradeus accepted into FFR
      - Many simfiles made, most unreleased

      2007:
      - Investigated how Foonmix's Monotune Respect worked, discovered the mechanics of warps
      - ! (Bang) accepted into SMGCRP
      - Save Me accepted into FFR
      - Discovered Mungyodance at local arcade, the furries in the bg were intriguing, did more research into the simfiles and the kinds of songs involved
      - Developed severe affinity towards rave music (kinda unrelated but greatly affected future song choices for simfiles)
      - Upgraded to spread [dfjk]
      - Discovered IIDX, bought BMUS
      - Made many simfiles

      2008:
      - Switched spread keys [askl]
      - Discovered negative stops
      - Joined Mungyodance team
      - Made a great multitude of simfiles
      - Atmos Break accepted into RFPack
      - Went up to Canada for the Mungyodance 3 launch party
      - Made V^3
      - Passed first pad 14 (Prince of Darkness, Mungyodance 2)
      - Continued with IIDX, 'obtained' DistorteD and DJTroopers

      2009:
      - Conditionally left the Mungyodance team (depends on Renard, really...)
      - Consistently passing pad 10-11's
      - Still making files
      - Continuing with IIDX

        2006:

I was a bad DDR player.
I found a Stepmania video on Youtube
        Downloaded Stepmania
First simfile I ever played was Motekke! Serafuku
        Passed it easy x4 xD
Google'd Stepmania flash or something and found FFR
Joined with a REALLY old account.
        Started playing one handed

        2007:
Stopped playing for 6 months, when I came back, MAJOR MAJOR skill jump.
        blablabla
        Stopped again
        I don't remember.

        Became addicted
        Mid-summer, started making horrible simfiles.
        Major skill jump
        Got some MAD scores one-handed
        Got mad
        Switched to Spread
and duh, started to work on PA.
        Forgot about Stepmania
        Oh no!
        Massive simfiles collabs with Sammy
Mitsudomoe, first serious file (but I'm deleting it)

        2009:
        Can FC every FMO =D
        half SM/ half FFR
        working on 250 simfiles
        Getting better at simfile making.

@Tass, did you keep track of your progress with one of those MSPaint thingys that had every song listed and categorized and you filled it in with either FC'd, AAA'd, Almost, or Never or something like that, because I have been looking for that thing lol
i know the image you're talking about... scottish or jimerax or linus or someone made it back when there was around 80 songs in-game... but, no. i did my stuff all by hand. in a notebook.

                      2007
                      September
*Found out about FFR by searching for online rhythm games better than Beat Beat Revolution. Played a few games (namely, Freak Out, Let Mom Sleep, and Maple Leaf Rag, lol).
*Signed up after about two weeks of playing without an account.
*Started out with one hand three fingers, trying to FC For Beginners songs and pass songs above tricky. Fail.
*Was surprised to get 9/298 public FC's by the end of the month XD
                      October
*Found out about speedmods and started passing Challenging songs (with mashing).
*Watched a mediocre video of someone playing Pants and was amazed.
*Played in my very first FFR tournament. Placed 2nd in beginner. Met some friendly FFRers and got enough credits to play Pants in the process.
                      *Reached 1,000 gameplays.
                      November
                      *Got Starman.
                      December
*Placed first for the first time in a tourney (EnR's Insane Pwnage, one hand beginner division)

                      2008
Eh, downloaded SM sometime and started making sims. Terrible ones.
                      January
*Won grand prize in Nestlekwik's New Year Giveaway (90k credits)
                      *Subscribed for the first time.
*Notable encounter with a missflag... (0-0-1-0) on Lemonade [Heavy]... ugh.
                      February
*Took up two-handed play (not exactly spread because I used the arrow keys)
*741 combo on Crowdpleaser after the avmiss fix. Yay! XD
                      March
*Hosted my first ever FFR tourney. Eh, it went okay.
                      May
                      *Hosted another tourney with funmonkey54.
*Also took up spread around this time.
                      August
*First upload to the FFR Simfile DB (Heaven's Rave).
                      *[Heavy] unlock!

                            2006:
Already half-decent at O2Jam at that time, friend introduced FFR when I went to his house, didn't know about the game though and both of us went straight to the simfile database and downloaded a random file called Buckethead - Jordan(rofl) and played it on SM at 1x speed upscroll. Got somewhat interested and downloaded Magnatrick's FOTS(and a bunch of other songs); I actually thought that was the hardest SM file ever made haha

                            Did not register.

Lost interest after a few weeks and went on to play O2Jam actively for two years............

yeah i wouldnt call this a resume this is pretty much my gaming life story lmao ANYWAYS

                            Mid-2008(July):
                            -O2Jam closed down oops
-My pal LongGone, also an elite O2Jammer, introduced me to FFR the Game.
-First game unregistered was Eclipse..... did terrible. Got interested and registered
-Started my career in FFR; got Oni within the first or second month, also made a thread about it

                            August 2008(Or was it September?):
-Started playing SM seriously; first thing I did was play solo, MA was decent from the start because I did not start my !!career!! with FFR
-Went on to download more packs for singles as well

                            December 2008:
-Top 20 FFR players by ranking(average rank, Tier points etc.)
                            -Improved SM skills ALOT
                            -Became a solord(?)

                            2009:
-First AAA on shind bad standard(bad MA tho); truly a wondrous moment
-Switched to my bro's computer to play FFR; apparently my own computer has been holding me back in terms of FFR skills due to lag and 1.75x makes it difficult to read
-Switched to 2.0x on bro's com; no lag(!), started wrecking stuff
-AAA'd Ketsarku Mozgalom and Frictional Nevada; first and second FGO AAAs
-Now top 10 FFR Players in terms of average rank and Tier Points

                            yeah

I found FFR in early April 2008 while in a C++ Programming class. Thought it was fun and would play when I had a chance. I started by playing songs like Sonic I Final Zone. Once I graduated High School in June I spent a lot of time with friends and put FFR in the back of my mind. In July I really got into it and learned about SM by playing people in MP. At Christmas I got a new laptop and decided to put SM on it so I didnt need the internet to play anymore. I was browsing the FFR forum one day and saw NekoGon playing Solo and I decided I wanted to learn to do that. Currently I am descent at FFR and suck at Solo.

                                Re: Post your FFR/Stepmania resume

2004 start of my music game interest: I got the game frequency for my birthday. After I beat it I got ddr and got addicted to it. I played every day for a few months.

2005-2006: I got ITG and liked it more, played everyday.

2007 October: one of my bowling friends told me I might like this online game called ffr. He said it is tremendously popular at his school and I'm like "wtf? I've never even heard of it." He shows me it and I instantly fall in love with it. I quickly figured out to use spread after a few days of one handed playing. Got 2.5 billion points in 2 months which was a lot of playing cause I sucked.

December 2007-March 2008: didn't play ffr, was pissed that the av-miss fix wasn't public and went away.

april-may: the fix went public and I played moderately to about 4 billion points, I was able to AAA VD's.

                                didn't play in june

July-mid october: went from 4 billion to 8 billion points. Played like a madman and AAA'd my first vc's.

October-pres: playing speratically. I sometimes go a week or two without playing and sometimes play 100mill a day for a week. AAA'd my first FMO (midnight dragon). Currently at 10.4 billion GT. Member for 1.37 years.

I have never played stepmania and don't intend to play it anytime soon.
