    Re: Post your FFR/Stepmania resume

Stuff that happened in years I can't remember:
-Saw a DDR machine and was intrigued
-Brother told me I would probably suck so I didn't play it
-HUGE TIME JUMP HERE WE GOOOO

    2006:
-Guitar Hero released and reminded me of DDR a long time ago

    2007:
    -Downloaded SM
    -Sucked at SM
    -Quit SM
    -Joined FFR
    -Sucked at FFR, stopped playing

    2008:
    -Started playing FFR again
-Got decent and passed my first FMO (Blooddrunk)
-Switched to spread, got first AAA
    -Made a couple of sims
    -Waited for avmiss fix
-Avmiss fix arrived, passed every public song (lolmash)
    -Referred like 8 friends
-Tried to get a sub, didn't happen

    2009:
-Huge skill jump, no longer mashes on most songs
-Is now trying for 100 FCs

Yeah, there were some breaks inbetween what happened and I didn't exactly play every day.

                  Re: Post your FFR/Stepmania resume

Six day old thread but I want to post my story.

                  2004

                  - Played DDR for the first time. It was DDRMAX2 and I was playing with my sister and her friends at her apartment. I was playing on a controller because I thought playing on the pad was silly and embarrassing. I played some sports game there as well which had a mini-game that was music based.

-Dismissed the idea of music games.

                  2007

                  - In late March / early April I hesitantly started a game called "Audition" which is a Korean music game with very different gameplay than FFR/DDR/SM.

                  - On April 29th in a friend of mine from Audition IM'd me and told me to play a flash game with her that happened to be FFR. She literally had to walk me through every step of registering and getting into the game. The very first song on FFR I played was Bomb the Base. I failed the song horribly and lost easily.

                  - Dismissed FFR and decided to stop playing.

                  - The next day I decided to practice FFR a lot to get better than my friend and beat her. I started playing with one hand. The first song I actually passed was Sonic 1 Final Zone. Arcade genre was my training ground. I'd play songs like bubbleman, dr. wily's theme and etc.

                  - Played against my friend again and lost again. Decided to try even harder.

                  - Introduced to Stepmania from things I heard in forums and from people on FFR.

                  - In late May I became very interested in creating simfiles. I made some pretty crappy ones but I thought they were ok at the time. I submitted many files to FFR in June but each one was rejected. Gave up on the idea of getting a file into FFR.

                  - Downloaded some stepmania songs but I couldn't find ones with easy difficulties and pretty much failed whatever I tried. Gave up on stepmania.

                  - Around the same time I was feeling a cap on what I could do. Then I played a multiplayer game with a to-be friend Ozie-Saf. She encouraged me to start playing spread.

                  - Started playing spread and noticed a lot of improvements. Getting skill tokens became an obsession.

                  - Was one of the first to unlock V1 due to a glitch in the Skill Token. (Happened to some others)

                  - Became totally obsessed with the summer of skill tokens in 2007. Tried my best to get as many as I possibly could. My skill at this time was not enough required to get many of the tokens.

                  - On July 14th I played my first and only game of SMO for 2007.

                  - Getting a low average became an obsession as well. I became #3 of the USA Northwest eventually.

                  - October 13th - 20th was my first week of making several threads showcasing my AAA's for the day. This was when I first became an AAA whore. Began when I suddenly AAA'd Gaussian Blur 3 unexpectedly. Ended with my first VC AAA, Cutting Circles.

                  - The posting ended really because my computer died and could not play FFR anymore except on cousin's computer which sucked a lot.

                  - Late November I played DDR for the first time. I sucked big time. I practiced a lot in December and even recorded myself getting some pretty bad scores. They're still on youtube.

                  2008

                  - Early January I downloaded stepmania and several song packs. The computer I had at the time was very laggy and I was not able to play FFR very well, so I settled with SM. I played stepmania a lot. Improving my speed and accuracy significantly.

                  - In late January I finally was able to return to FFR. I had a brand new computer and it kicked ass. I quickly began playing again and I found myself quite better thanks to SM.

                  - I quit FFR beginning of February again and focused mostly on Stepmania, playing one or two FFR games a week maybe.

                  - Started to play SMO regularly on April 1st.

                  - 20 days later I AAA'd Balloon Fever and got Oni. This was after avmisses were fixed and BF was still an FMO. So I felt kind of bad for not really earning Oni after it was downgraded to a VC.

                  - Quit FFR again, leaving to play other rhythm games.

                  - In August I started up again. Began another few days of creating many threads of my AAA's and other scores. I considered my sightread my best quality.

                  - Later in August, I earned my 300th AAA, Silence. This satisfied me as Silence was an FMO.

                  - Left FFR again. This break was the longest I've had from FFR.

                  - Had a brief Osu! obsession starting on August 22nd.

                  - Continued playing Stepmania mostly but played Guitar Hero 3 a bit too.

                  - Mid-December I played ITG for the first time. It was a very exciting experience to play on a pad that was so responsive.

                  2009

                  - Played ITG about one to two times a week, eventually getting myself my own metal TX-6000 pad. I play on it regularly throughout the week.

                  - Mid February I came back once again to FFR with a week of major AAA-whoring. I sightread many songs perfectly and destroyed many old nemesis songs of mine (CIA Rave, Uber Rave, Dazzling Soul, etc...).

                  - Got obsessed with a low average again and reached my 400th and 500th AAA's from about 320~ AAA's in about 3 days.

                  - Got my 2nd "real" FMO AAA, Epidermis

                  - Rose from Tier 4 to Tier 2 in about a weeks time.

                  - 3rd FMO AAA, K8107, in early March.
                  ------------------------------------------------------------------

That's all I can think of. xD
