Spam bot is a bot who goes around posting the same post everywhere while linking to sites etc.

You know, like spam emails "increase your dick size with super gro!"

Go to their forum profile and click on contact detail. I admit that a list of FFR staff AIM's would be very helpful, finding a single staff when you need one can sometimes be a pain.

I'm usually not, so that doesn't exactly work for me.

I'll usually only go out of my way on AIM if it's something truly terrible, like porn in img tags or cp or something.

Also: I think I'll just stop reporting threads since obviously it does no direct good. Change the report system to actually alert via the forum rather than email and I'll do it, otherwise... now I just feel stupid for wasting my time reporting so much ****, and actually putting a little effort into making the reports a little more interesting. Obviously, again, if I see something truly heinous, I'll still hop on aim and alert someone, but I'm done with reporting stupid **** like worthless threads or misplaced threads or other miscellaneous forum problems.

ps since I don't feel like breaking my promise already, I'll just post it: this thread is not relevant to FFR, so it's in the wrong forum 8)

2) Reporting does a lot of good. Yes, I've seen your reports, and yes, I do take care of them sometimes. Sometimes your reports are something that isn't breaking the rules, just your rules. And you always sound angry with us for not fixing it right away, so that makes me less willing to do anything about it.

Yes. Some of them are incredibly graphic images. Would you like to stumble across a random thread and see two columns of hundreds of pornographic images right as your mom walks into the room?

What I read was if you are angry towards the mods, it will be less likely that they will take care of any issues regarding "rule-breaking"? I find that extremely insolent. You should take care of rule-breaking no matter the consequences. It's your duty as a mod.

His reports are borderline sometimes.

It's like a "you have to look at it this way for it to be wrong" thing.

In any event, we implemented a human verification system in our registration, so this problem should be dying. The one that just happened was a bot who registered two days ago. It's safe to say it shouldn't be happening anymore.

Meh, I posted in one, only to warn others that the sites were infested with malware (duh). My firefox Noscript and other plugins went haywire when the thread loaded, and it's possible others were infected.

I usually just report a thread when I see it, unless it's really bad, in which case I'll IM someone.
