Well I think smartdude is very well recognized as an elite player. There are a lot of good players that remain relatively low-key, like BigBoss37.

I posted something unnecessary and barbaric, so I deleted it. I do it often... just write something completely radical... then not post it. This time I just happened to post it by accident. Sorry to all those people who saw curse flying in that paragraph.[/offtopic]

I guess we should also clarify as to what you would consider "unnoticed". Ledwix was pretty awesome and well-noticed last year (~spring,summer 2007) but he's been under the radar this year, probably because he quit playing FFR competitively. I did that too. I wouldn't really know who would be the most underrated elite player of all times though.

maniac_mitch. 440+ AAAs and i've never heard of him. was looking through the top AAA list, and was like.... "who the **** is this?!?". other top AAA people that i don't really know who they are: Suddenness with 501, and OnDaJohn with 480. Out of the top100 on AAAs, i probably know and recognize 90+....

i think it's a really good thing how many of the top users also are at least somewhat active within the forums and the community, as opposed to JUST playing the game.


edit: of the top GTS users... zeuz, mitch, and gug buz all have 15+ billion and i have no idea who they are. again, i recognize 90+ of the top100.

Personally, it's up to you guys how you wanna define this. But personally, I would define:

Elite - Having/having the ability to get ~450+ AAA's. Notice that I added in "having the ability to".

Unnoticed - Relatively low profile views/comments. Relatively little references made to them in threads.

If you guys disagree, then you can post what you think would better define those.

smartdude is the 2nd-ranked player in the game and has one of the lowest avg-ranks out there. However, I rarely see new comments on his profile praising his godliness (or even just to make chit-chat). I also noticed that he isn't mentioned frequently in the forums. In that Anagram game I think I was the first to mention him around the 9th page or so, and that's showing 20 posts per page. But I'll let you guys be the judges.

This was brought up in the TP thread. Notice how he has 2 9/9 but no 8/8. Dunno if that really warrants anything, but it's kinda strange.
