I still don't see why anyone chooses to play one-handed. I figured out in my first week of Stepmania-playing years ago how retarded it was.

I play one-handed sometimes just to challenge myself. It's fun for a change.

Maybe because some people play the game to have fun, not to be the best and brag to everybody how 1337 they are. I tried spread, it's no fun, really.

P.S Gameboy, ~Zero~, TC_Halogen, and Midday are the only unnoticed elite players I can think of.

People who don't have any guidance at the beginning have the tendancy to use only one hand. They don't have the capacity to think outside the box and use two hands because it's relatively a new world to them. By the time they find out that they can use two hands, they're already decent at one handing and don't have the patience to start over again. Or, at least that's how it was for me.

I mean I can understand playing one-handed for occasional challenge/fun, but if you're trying to go for a good score, one-handed play is just so extremely limiting. Also, whenever I play one-handed, it feels absolutely dead when I'm done.

I admit, I started out one-handed, but only because I wasn't used to using two hands for the arrow keys. After a while I re-adapted and forced myself to re-learn.
