Christ, you guys react to 7 word posts like it's some breaking news story.
I just don't understand why you would take a game and change how it's played. And then all of the sudden everyone who plays the old way is dumb for not changing? Screw that, I don't like spread because it's changed how Stepmania/FFR is played. Everyone, except an elite few, sucked at jumpstream, crossovers, stuff like that on index. Then one day, "Oh, let's make this easier because why improve when I can just change the keys I play with to make it easier." That's my viewpoint on it.
In b4 "you're just pissy because you can't play spread."

I can, and dont'.
No, you missed the whole point.
If you want the "it's a dance game, you have two feet, use two fingers" game, then think about this: You CAN play DDR/ITG with your hands and feet (I've seen it done before) which is exactly like spread.
The reason most people play spread is because it's the fastest way to get good at the game. Plain and simple. no ifs ands or buts.
Go take your pathetic arguments somewhere else.
Oh and did I mention the fact that NO ONE INSULTED THE WAY YOU CHOOSE TO PLAY FFR/SM.
kbai I'm done
Stepfiles are becoming more and more spread based, thus one who does not play spread will have a more difficult time with new songs.
I don't see it as 'spread was just made to make things easier from 2 feet, 2 finger index-playing style', but more as 'What should I use to get the best score on this song?'
Tera is amazing in both spread and index playing styles. When a song is spread-based, he shall play spread and get a good score. When a song is index-based, he shall play index and get a good score (reference to FotBB in particular).
There is no point playing index on a spread-based song only to get a score worse than you would spread.
Different playing styles all have their advantages and disadvantages. It is then up to you whether you decide to master certain ones or not.
Also, soulston3 previously stated that he used 6 buttons for FFR. If he is still continuing that, then he could be classified as illegit.
I'm pretty sure it's not illegit, I've explained my setup before and no one had a problem with it. I use 3 fingers on each hand, so I can one hand every trill. I always used to get goods on 2 handed trills, so I made it easier. Jumpstream is my only weakness, as it gets confusing, but here it is:
Q = left ring finger
W = left middle finger
A = left index finger
L = right index finger
O = right middle finger
P = right ring finger
I don't use this setup to cheat on jacks. Don't believe me? Check my Club rank. XD

It's a matter of opinion and choice. Do what playstyle you think is most comforting to you.
1st in Kommisar's 2009 SM Tournament 1st in I Love You`s 2009 New Year`s Tournament 3rd in EnR's Mashfest '08 tournament 5th in Phynx's Unofficial FFR Tournament 9th in D3 of the 2008-2009 4th Official FFR Tournament 10th in D5 of the 2010 5th Official FFR Tournament 10th in D6 of the 2011-2012 6th Official FFR Tournament FMO AAA Count:71 FGO AAA Count:10
I play cv up right, and it's perfect for the way I have my arms placed on my chair at my desk.
And one-handed trills are actually easy on spread for me. I can always hit the 32nd one handed trills in Arch0wl hard-mix in SM but miss 1/8 of the time the two handed trills.
Playing FFR/Lurking around the forums since Dec. 2004
