Re: ASKL? Why?
get better hands bye
askl is better simply because less movement of your entire hand is required, making movements much more precise and speedy. accuracy almost always improves fairly quickly and there aren't too many patterns that are troublesome.Comment

Re: ASKL? Why?
Sarcasm is hard to determine over the internet with such sort sentences.
As for me, I personally use df56 (5 6 being on the numpad). The letters are too close, and unless I use a two key, two numpad setup, my keyboard won't register tris or quads. Why would you put that in your signature? You've lost your signature rights for a month. (You'll get them back on March 10th, 2012.)Comment

Re: ASKL? Why?
You can use 6 buttons for solo. Solo requires 6 buttons. FFR requires 4 buttons, and nothing more. We're not talking about solo.
Also, soulston3 previously stated that he used 6 buttons for FFR. If he is still continuing that, then he could be classified as illegit.Any FFR song title discrepancies? List them here.

Re: ASKL? Why?
roberstona is so awesome and so are you! To answer your question. You can use various of spread styles most people use "a, s, k, l" because it's common. Most of the other people have their personal setup that fits them best.
I HAVE FAILED!!! The message couldn’t be more clear. DAMN DIRTY APES!

Re: ASKL? Why?
From what i've seen ASKL is most popular because its been promoted more than any other style of spread. Its probably the best way to start spread too. Once you've learned spread with those keys it isnt that hard to adjust keys to find an optimal layout. Personally i ended up choosing qe ip. RING FINGER SPREAD FTW!!!Comment

Re: ASKL? Why?
my shift buttons make too much noise. i think that'd be slightly annoying.
Z/z?z?z?z/z?z?z?z?z?z?z?z?z/Z/z/Z/z/z/z/Z?z/z?z? weird.
owp. off topic.
slightly on topic.
one thing you should also consider when setting up your keys is if you'll hit the alt buttons or the window buttons with your setup. i had a hard time on my first week with that, so i did some googling to find out how to make it so that they don't do anything. i can't remember how i did it, but then again, i don't have that problem anymore.Last edited by l u l l a b y; 06-10-2008, 10:12 PM.Comment

Re: ASKL? Why?
I still find DFKL the best way for my keyboard to register hands and be comfortable for me.
ps how in the world does QWALOP even work for anything? That's a really weird setup because your fingers aren't positioned comfortably to hit each key.Comment
