    FFR Dual-Screen Fun

    Consult this video: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...hp?songid=2317

With only half of the necessary files running on Flash Flash Revolution (serendipity - I wasn't actually smart enough to do this on purpose), the game features a different display on the bottom half, creating a view that reminds me of playing the game on a Nintendo DS dual-screen. If you could please, leave comments here on your thoughts of if/how you would like to see this as a playable online option, Xelius and myself would really appreciate your input.

The extra view personally helps with my perephrial vision but could be distracting to others, making the view completely optional if added. Xelius and I were discussing whether we could switch a few things around with an optional view such as moving the combo/rating display lower, displaying a few stats, etc. So, please, if you could, give us your honest thoughts and ideas on this. We're kind of just fooling around with it at this point, but if we can justify the display with good ideas, we might consider it as a possible addition.

    Re: FFR Dual-Screen Fun

    i dont get it

longer display is good for playing on a high speed mod i would think
i would like to see a added option for the combo text to be displayed at a very little size at some corner of the screen not even touching the arrows i dont even care what combo i have while playing

combo and stats info like in multi

i played side scroll and tilted the monitor 90 degrees the extra travel distance of the arrows was confusing at low speed mods

I've always wanted extra travel distance for the arrows so that I could increase the speed mod that I use.

Back when everyone one wanted a screen cut feature I wanted a screen addition feature.

If it wouldn't be so squished in the horizontal then I would love it.

Well, yeah, obviously Youtube squishes the image. The original file is tall and narrow.

              I think it's absolutely brilliant.
It would definitely help a few players.
Being good at things is overrated.
Let's all suck at FFR and smile while doing it.

I'd have to test it before I could comment on the idea. I'm not opposed to the idea, but I would have to get a feel for it before I would give it a yea, this is pretty cool, or a no, i don't really like where this is going. Sure, there are probably people who would use this, but something something something, I kinda lost my train of thought. I think you guys can get where I was going with that though.

Woo Beta. That's kinda cool. I'd probably switch back to 2.0X if it did that, and no more avmisses lol.

I'll see if this something Xelius can arrange for testing once he's finished with his current projects. Aside from the game play aspects of it, what can you add? Do you want to see a different combo/rating location? Do you want to see game play information in the extra space? Anything else we can add down below there?

                            found threads about this

                            PA Meter

% of perfects from the arrows you hit while you play a file -- this will also act as a PA assist if you get 1 good while you play and fail to notice it you will see your pa meter drop to 99.9% or something below 100 telling you you messed up

                            Timer

                            http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...hlight=counter

                            arrow Hit stats display

if all those stuff would be arranged better and a option in the game settings to show them or hide them will be available i think that win

I got it to do the extra distance thing once (I clicked on things before multiplayer had loaded) and it was much easier for me to play the harder songs with a higher speed mod and more distance for the arrows to travel.

Also, I like the all of those pictures except the PA rating one. Just doesn't strike me as something I'd want...
