I use a technique I like to call "smashing my freaking head against the keyboard until I get a freaking concussion". Also known as "SMFHATKUIGAFC", to abbreviate it.

I play 3 finger, which is almost index It's basically the same thing but it gets rid of crossovers.

I don't like index all that much. Most likely because when I do, I'm playing one-fingered + a finger on the right arrow.
