You don't get prizes for answering rhetorical questions.

AAA's are a measure of consistency (within a 0.100 second window), not of absolute skill.

Skill is partially subjective. Thus, attempting to objectively measure it is a worse waste of time than, say...whoring songs on FFR for AAA's. :gasp:

      Err-oh! Da secret is out!

Hmmm...AAA's.Its just timeing not luck.Toatal skill is needed to get a AAA on SM. on this glitchy game "FFR" you kinda need some luck on the offsync songs to AAA em.

Basically... at a certain level, Guido is correct. On a harder level, he is completely incorrect. And, honestly, I think his opinion can only be felt by someone who is only a mediocre or lower player (which I think Guido would admit that he is). When you start being able to PA songs consistently, you'll see the vast difference.
QFT. I compleatly agree and was going to say somthing simular.

People have effortlessly AAA'd things before.

You will find that, when you improve your note-reading and speed, your timing improves with it. Usually you wouldn't notice UNTIL you go back and play a song that's terrifyingly easy.

I agree with the others: your frustration has forced you to make this thread.

AAA'ing songs is just showing your skill and effort into that particular songs, i dont find them useless, because, well it helps your tier points once you get like 80

but its a nice thing to see a song AAA'ed, its like you go to your freezer for a Otter Pop and you look and theyres none left, but then theres one more in the ice box and then your happy for finding that last otter pop, its a releif, until you have to get another one.
              Yep.

a AAA isn't how much time you devote to a song... i've played many of songs once and AAA'd them effortlessly. i have around 6 ffr AAA's and three of them were done on my first try (brightone, sky dive, and 2003103 or whatever the hell its called). i don't play this crap really anyways. i play SM where i can get a AAA but think nothing of it because my MA was ****ty

                  Re: AAAs have no meaning

It took me two hours to AAA Evil Approaches. Going from 6 goods, give or take a few boos, to 3 goods, to 2, to 1...then eventually the AAA.

If you cut the song up into sections and had me play each individually, I could AAA each individual section. Putting it all together and making it in one shot was the problem.

That was the hardest song for me to AAA. There's songs that are higher rated (like Air and Rose) that I can AAA now if I try to that I would have less of a hassle getting the AAA. All the AAAs I have gotten except that one song have been in around 1-5 tries.

Meh it took me 7 tried to AAA virus for the tournament, I'm fairly sure it was luck on my part because that jack was really pissing me off. Then I just managed to PA through it and the rest was easy.

real men stop playing a song as soon as they AA it and go find a new challenge, maybe sonething they can only B

accuracy is overrated, AAs and As and passes of hard stuff is way more meaningful

I agree with GuidoHunter but for different reasons. I have found numerous of FFR stepcharts to be offbeat on certain parts (in terms of getting Perfects), and so far I've only managed to AAA songs with the music off. In fact, my PA is much better on FFR with music off, which is depressing because FFR is supposed to be a music game.

I really don't agree with this Guido. Some players have incredible talent and AAA'ing songs is piss easy. Most good SM Players rack up AAAA's anyways. It's not luck, it's just a lot of talent.

Thank you, Guido, now I don't feel so bad when my pet rat crawls across my hand while playing "Halcyon" and I fail.

Yeah, I can't get that many AAA's because my fingers tend to move a lot and I have ADD wich I can get distacted easley.
