    Re: Holy wow

    Rofl.

The setup, as far as I know, is like this:

    Average
    Good
    Perfect
    Perfect
    Perfect
    Good
    Average

So AAA'ing grants you the leisure of operating within three frames that are together whereas getting all goods and averages grants you only two frames to operate within (or four, two pairs of two separated by three frames).

And to get all goods, you'd be operating within two ONE frame limitations which are 3 frames apart.

Having 3 frames together as opposed to having 2 Good frames 3 frames apart is a HUGE difference.

To be honest, your videos are exceedingly convincing and I would believe you for that, but the whole 490 goods, 10 averages, 0 boos/misses/perfects on OMW is a little much.

Unless you have robotic-like timing, or unless you have the best timing in the world and can use it flawlessly, hitting one of those two Good frames consistently (490 times) is simply ...

I can't find the word for it, but you get my point.

And yeah, lol, this thread is still alive?

It is impossible to get an average on the last frame...I have never ever gotten an average when its at the top of the screen, only good/ or miss.
      Thats how I got starman.

          ya. i drew this earlier:

          - AVG
          - GOOD

          - PERFECT

          - GOOD
          - AVG

but deleted the post because i thought i was the only one who thought like that. i believe the words you are looking for are "rubix you are not legitimate so just leave"

                //edit#2:

I just realized something. If you think about it, since Rubix is so good with timing, then he wouldn't be alternating between

                Average
                Good
                Perfect
                Perfect
                Perfect
                Good
                Average

those two frames. He'd only be hitting the arrows on ONE of them. either early or late.

So that gives him ONE frame to operate within. Which is exponentially harder to do than hitting a perfect as you have three frames to operate within.

So wtf Rubix. What's your explanation for that? =\ I mean ... sure you can say you're good at hitting framers exactly where you want, and that's halfway believable with your vids, but can you really back-up your claim of hitting nearly 500 arrows EXACTLY on that one frame?

On such a fast song as OMW is, that one frame must last probably not any longer than an eight of a second.

Note to all pro-Rubix people: I am NOT anti-Rubix nor am I "jumping on the bandwagon."

I believe I've stated my own reason for why I personally think Rubix to be BS. I'm not like "OMG GODLY SCORES BS BS BS BS BS." Just clearing that up before someone comes in here (again) and starts flaming people that actually want to know the truth.

                  Re: Holy wow

Thing is, even operating within one frame is not that hard. FFR is not about time, it's about sight. If you're curious about timing methods, shoot me a PM if you care enough. Spotting frames is actually *not* hard to do when you try.

TK: Again you prove why I say what I do. I don't call people idiots that don't believe me. I call people idiots when they don't know how to argue or when they throw attacks ad hominem. Notice that I'm not calling xception stupid because he's actually posting a legitimate concern. Many of the respected veterans have been wrong about many aspects of the very game they play.

                    Re: Holy wow

I'm double posting so this is separated from my previous, long post.

Rubix, I'm not being an asshole nor am I trying to get you banned or convince people you're illegit, but I DO want to know the truth, and believe me, that's my only reason for even looking at threads concerning you. (Because frankly, I'm as tired of the people who just say BS without any reason as you are. Well, perhaps not quite, but you get my drift.)

                    //edit:
Rubix ... saying that operating within one frame "isn't that hard" is NOT going to convince anyone that's against you.

You keep saying things aren't that hard while many people's scores over the years say differently. If you have a secret, then post it in public and stop all (or most) of the BS calls.

If you don't, then give more proof.

"It isn't that hard" just simply isn't enough, with or without your vids.

Hey Rubix, could you please make a vid of your no-perfect run of OMW?

Then, play it on the piano blindfolded.

Seriously, though, it's really hard to believe that without any video proof.
