Are Speed Mods Cheating?

I was talking to my friend today about speed mods and i was bragging about how they help my game so much more and i was able to FC Wish (For FFR), 20031023, Z, Carol Megamix, Dazzling Soul, Etc. He kept saying "mods are cheating, thats stupid. Halo has mods and everyone hates people that mod"

I don't think speed mods should be considered cheat if the CREATOR of the site gives them to everyone.

I guess I'd like to hear your comments about this subject and if possible, give me something to say back to him to reassure him speed mods are not a form of cheating.

I love the speed mods and... FFR and Halo are not the same! FFR Mods are totally different than Halo mods! XD (atleast I hope...)

lol speedmods are not cheating >.< they make you miss like crazy thougha and jacksyndrome is way worse >.< but better pa so i use them lol



and in halo you mod the maps to make them unfair to others and make it so u have a unfair advantage where as in ffr speedmods both of you CAN use them so its not unfair

Your friend is an idiot and has obviously never played a proper rhythm game. The term "mod" is entirely different in FPSes than it is in rhythm.

They aren't cheating. They're part of the game in the Settings menu.

Not cheating.. The arrows still hit on the same time on the same beat. It's only a visual difference. End of story

exactly-- they supposedly make the game easier/harder at the same time..
For beginners-- they're very difficult to use because they allow you less time to see foreign patterns, but for experts, they help their PA. There you have the easier/harder speech.
