Help me AAA

I've been playing ffr for a few years now and have gotten into SM about a year and a half ago. Still I can not AA or AAA pretty much anything. Even on DDR. Really his has been bugging me as I can pass pretty much any song under Guru (and some masters) but I can't AAA songs like stay with me unlikely ("Easy")! This is really degrading and I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. I have 2 ideas of what I'm doing wrong:

1. I play 4 finger style. I'm currently transitioning into spread but what keys should I use?

2. I'm not sure about this but is it bad to look at the target of the arrow instead of the direction its pointing?


Note: I don't button mash so thats not the reason I pass some master songs

If you're playing spread, it's left, up, the 6 key and the 8 key on the numpad. Or use Autohotkey and code the arrow keys to a, s, k, and l, or a similar fashion (ZXNM, QWOP, etc).

I reccomend screen shrinking if you haven't started. I thought it was useless until I tried it, it really, REALLY improves pretty much everything on FFR.

lol i feel ya fido...im a veteran yet i havent AAA'd a thing,many AA's but no AAA its not downgrading,if u think about it,AAA'ing something means u sit there and play easy songs till u get all perfects which is more downgrading seeing as how u watse ur time,i honestly play songs for good rank (rottel-da station,air,summer(speedy mix) and so on,dont worry about the AAA's ull be a better player by getting better rank and more skill :]

as in score,rank,ranks on songs,mp lv,style of play,etc....im called a vet becuz of that,jugg calls me legend for some reason,but im going by what i hear

im also called veteran in forums and stuff ud be a reg right now,but better than nothin

I'm not considered anything, yet I have 13 AAA's.

How does that work? My Average rank is certainly better than RB Dreamscanner's, so is my MP level, overall rank, and seniority as a member.

My point: It doesn't matter what they call you. Let the numbers do the talking.

On topic: Screenshrink, start with Mario and Trip to the Moon, or just wait for s super lucky AAA.

mp lv? mines almost 19
ur rank is better but im sure id kill u in reverse or cornor style

Don't try for AAAs. Get good at hard stuff and then AAAs will happen.

I fail to see how anything of your's is ranked "veteran". You don't have any good scores, overall rank means nothing, style of play means nothing, and MP level means nothing.

As far as me being a "reg":

I've been playing for years. Still haven't AAA'd a thing. People shouldn't care so much about rank. =/
