Index, spread, 4 finger, etc.

Now, before anyone flames, I DID do a search for all of these styles, but I can't find anything explaining most of them. I'm pretty sure I know what 4 finger and 1 handed and such is, that's pretty self-explanitory, but the 2 that I'm confused on are Index and Spread. If anyone could give me a quick explanation on those 2, or link me to a page with more information on finger styles, then I'd really appreciate it.

Spread is playing with four keys, like 4 finger, except that those four aren't all just the arrow keys. It can be one hand for left and down on the arrow keys, and the other hand on the numpad for up and right, or askl, or vbnm, etc., with autohotkey being used to make those send the arrows. Index is playing on the arrow keys using only your 2 index fingers.

coming from a 3 fingered player I use my left index then my right index and middle finger and that is how I've been playing since I can't jump into spread for some reason 8(

letf index for up, down, and left right index finger for up, down, and right sometimes right middle finger for right, up, and down.

That was either a post for attention or a post for getting 1 more post. 3 finger index is an oxymoron, unless you manage to grow a 3rd hand with a spiffy index finger.

Yea lol, apparently I've been using spread this whole time. As soon as I found that hotkey thread I gave it a try and it's been working great. Jumps have gotten a lot easier, especially when you mix em into a bunch of patterns and stuff. I've gotten a lot better since I've been working with spread.
