Alright please help me out

Yes I am one of those noobies you see at the arcades playing on "Light" and wasting your precious ass-kicking time...so...I have a couple questions...

1) What is a matrix walk for? Showing off? Or does it actually help?
2) To all of you DDR Masters out there- were you naturally good at the game or did you have to practice for a long time before you were actually good?
3) If you did have to practice, where did you practice at? Because it's kind of embarrasing to play it in public when you're not any good...so did you have to buy your own machine at home or something?

Ok now some questions about FFR...
1) How do I put a custom picture for my avatar and how do I put one in my signature?
2) How did that one guy get 800k on that Super Mario song while i can only get like 35% of that?

FFR-
1) Go to profile button at top of the page with all the other options
for avatar: click on browse and put the file name in the box
for sig: pic in
2) They hacked.

Hey aleco, could you clear up the image thing in the signature? Like lets say you have a file called "boogle." Would I put [boogle/img] or or what I'm confused. Thanks for helping me out.

Yes I am indeed a newbie ass kicker at the arcades. Ok to answer your DDR questions.
1) A matrix walk is nothing but a move where newbies like to put their hands on the bar and walk across the screen. Its a showoff move if you do it in front of 5 year olds. It does help, RUIN THE MACHINE!! NEVER DO IT LEST YOU BE SMITTEN BY DDR EXPERTS!
2) Of course you have to practice to get better.
3) You have to buy a home version and a pad for yourself so you can play and someday become worthy to play at the arcades. Or you could go to the arcade and play after some expert and get tips. Some pros will be a little mean to you but there are some who will help you. A good suggestion would be to browse around www.ddrfreak.com there are high level experts with tips on that site.

2) just practice alot, i was just as bad as everyone that starts
3) got to go to the arcade, or you can get SM and play with a pad...or you could actually play without a pad...basically ddrmania...etc got it right on

1) Matrix Walking is a very dumb and jerk ass move to do. As ddrmaniactrunks, said, it ruins the machine. Do not do it.
2) Practice Practice Practice. No excuses.
3) Get one of the many home versions (preferably DDRMAX, or DDRMAX2 for PS2, or the new one for Xbox)
