Oh by the way, if you do get a home version of DDR, be sure to play on training mode. Something that helped me when i wasnt so good was putting the assist settings in training mode on Assist 5 or something where it gives you the metronome for the beat of the song and the handclap for the timing. This should help you a little bit on rhythm and timing. The secret to DDR is to not attempt to just step on the arrows when they reach the top of the screen. You have to feel it and let the steps come to you. This does take practice, but stay loose and it'll become easy.

      1. It's for showing off. It also ruins the machine.
      2. We all started off doing 1&2 foot songs, and had to practice hours on end.
      3. Some people just played in the arcade when they were starting, but I think most people got the home version on the Playstation(2).

Ive been playing ddr for a while, Matrix walk is retarded. One kid did that on our machines, we litterally threw him out of the mall. Bar hobs, plants, things like that are okay.

You do need to practice. I had watched my cousin play enough that i started on easier standard songs and worked up to heavy within 2-3 months. now im stuck on easier heavy songs, difficult standard songs after about 4 months.

I got a home pad and ddrmax, it does help being in your own house, but theres nothing like the real machine(my cousin just got a machine pad for his house, full metal arcade pad with 2 places(2 players), sweet setup.

Cant help you on ffr, failry new.

if most of the regulars were at our ddr spot and someone matrix walked we'd probably kick him out too

i will probably never try knee droping though. probably dislocate something.

i've thought about standing on the bar and jumping down, instead of bar hopping.

and then whe i get good enough, 360 or flip off the bar.

Is a bar hop jumping over the bar? If so, wouldn't that seriously mess up your game? I mean, you would have to get back on the machine really fast and get back into the rhythm as well. I suck at DDR (O.o 5 footers) so I don't know, maybe when you get really good it's easier to get back into the rhythm.

you know i never really figured out why that stupid red X keeps showing up everytime i put a sig image...i just didnt put it anymore cuz it only worked for like 5 minutes and it was gone again. same with alot of other ppls sig's. maybe its the URL, cuz it gets changed on the website. who knows. but i hate the matrix walk. its so damn gay! pisses me off when little n00bs go and start walking across the screen...one time this ****** did that and he lost his hand on the bar and he just landed flat on the ground. i laughed so hard cuz it was his own stupid-little-n00b fault. he felt so stupid, cause he WAS! i just told him get off, since he failed the song anyway. he was playing afronova...and he only got like 12 perfects and about 150 misses by the time he fell. so if i ever see anyone fall again, i swear i will kill them. he was sorta heavy, so he almost ruined the pad, since he landed smack-dab in the middle of it, and it like bounced up and down. i got mad, and i will always be mad.
