So if you're used to SM you could screenshrink, Thats is the one tip that really ever helped me in FFR.

um.... the speed thing works to.... i use it at 1.25. some songs throw me off cause they so slow

pick songs that you cant beat, but don't make you want to kill someone...
and play the song a million times if you have to till you can beat it...


once you can do that, you'll be able to do other songs somewhat better...and so on untill your good

When going for a new FC, try and have someone around that you can talk to so that you're not thinking "Z0MG I'M GONNA FC THIS FINALLY!" then miss. It helps you relax, and I find it helps quite a bit. When talking to someone my PA and combo usually get better.

when your playing things like bb rev or things with jacks tighten up your muscles. lol idk it helps me go faster

I have learned a few tips and things that can help you while playing ffr.

1. go to thermostat and make room warmer(this helps loosen up fingers and tendons)
2. Turn up speakers(it helps you get into it and hear patterns)

3. find comfortable seat height(so it doesn't your wrist doesn't hurt while playing)

dont jack off because then your not in the right mood for ffr :]

If these tips were laws I would be a criminal. Pretty well-known tips. I remember someone (forgot who) recommended putting your hands in warm water before playing, but this lasts longer, even if it is a little ineffective at the start.
