    FFR tips.

I have learned a few tips and things that can help you while playing ffr.

    1. go to thermostat and make room warmer(this helps loosen up fingers and tendons)
    2. Turn up speakers(it helps you get into it and hear patterns)

    3. find comfortable seat height(so it doesn't your wrist doesn't hurt while playing)

If you have more list on : ]

Solid tip, but make sure that you don't turn it up too much. There is a fine line where there is the perfect amount of volume along with your keytaps. If you can't hear both clearly, then you will not play as well.

Yeah just get rid of distracitons pretty much and practice.

                      Re: FFR tips.

Recently, I noticed that using headphones lets me hear the bass better on some songs. Sometimes this is helpful for keeping the beat or hearing where arrows match the music. My laptop speakers are generally OK, but apparently the bass doesn't come through very well. Sometimes it helps me to use headphones instead. It may not work for everyone, but it might be worth a try.

High quality speakers are much better than headphones (headphones drown out your keytaps a little more than speakers, and with speakers they blend better), but if you have crappy speakers and decent headphones I'd stick with the headphones. (Basically, the higher quality of music the better you'll play.)

True, headphones do tend to block out external sounds, like key taps, to some extent. But it seemed like I got more sounds from headphones than the built-in speakers on my laptop. I do have a set of external speakers from my old desktop (two computers before this one) that I kept, so I could try them out and see how they work with FFR. I hadn't thought of that before. Thanks for the idea.
