What I suggest is to have fun. If you enjoy AAAing easy songs, then good for you, and if you like going for speed on harder songs, that's cool too. I can't play good when I'm forcing myself to do something I don't really want to do.

Actually, working on AAAing songs can really get his PA up, my PA sucks, but I can almost combo Silence, so I got a bad rank on it due to the fact that I got like 100 something goods and like 20 averages. >.<
So yeah, I've been working on easier songs, just to work on my PA.

I don't think being able to AAA easy songs necessarily means you'll have good PA on hard songs. Take DarkManticoreX2 for example. He's got like 65 AAA's to my 25, yet my average level rank is lower(last time I checked). His PA is better than mine on easier/slower songs but mine is better than his on harder/faster ones.

I remember a while back I used to have terrible PA on Hyper Pressure (60-70 goods)because I couldn't read it fast enough. But now after being used to playing faster songs, Hyper Pressure seems like it's in slow-motion and my PA is decent (10-20 goods).

Eh, that's just from my experience though. Other people might have different experiences. Find out what works for you :P

Ignore what everyone says about AAA's and instead work on speed and FC's.

PA will come on its own once you can combo faster stuff.

im still working on getting one full combo myself but i noticed that i with lots of practice over the last to weeks im able to get higher combos in my songs. my rank dropped 2000 places over the last 2 and a half weeks and my avg rank has reduced greatly. a trick i do is leave my personal best score sheet open when i play and just keep refreshing it after i get a higher rank on the lowest song on the list. and i have seen all my ranks in the songs jump from 10k and up to all of them except flight of the bumblebee drop to and a few others to have all my songs in the 5k range and under nowwith an avg 2500 so dont worry about full combos perfectly till you get to that nesessaty of needding to full combo with all perfects in more then one song.

I agree with Shash. A friend of mine worked on his PA, and i worked on FCing and reading faster stuff, and now i am better than him at alot of stuff. He can play more songs than i can though, because he plays four-finger and i, index.

I WAS working on StrangeProgram and Lawn Wake IV, but those eventually got boring. I might go back to them, just to work on the speed, but I'll first try Nova Pulser and Delirium.

While I suggest practicing the fast songs (I'm going back and improving some of my old scores myself), I don't think ignoring the easy songs is good advice. Then you get the guys who say "oh wtf man you didn't aaa spontaneous hydroxide" or "your average rank sux" whenever you post the Level Rank Stats. Undoubtedly, you need speed, reflexes, etc. improved to get the hard levels (and I'm no one to coach since I'm still improving) but at the same time, ignoring the easy levels cheats you out of a good rank you know you could have. Think of it as "getting them out of the way" almost. I have 41 AAAs and I don't claim to be as good as the good players but it raises the rank.

lol ive played alot longer than alot of yall, but i stopped playing for like 4 months, and yea, ive played 1.6 something years, i remember when parashute stupid clowns was song of the week, and all sorts of crazy stuff
but yea, i dont think im very good and i play like 50 songs a day lol

Well your overall rank really has nothing to do with how good you are. Your probobly better than me even though I have 3 AAA's and soon to be 4 (Seattles Finest) but considering your MP level is 14 your probobly pretty good. Just try AAA'ing more stuff.
