R1 is "Remix 1", which is basically the first version of the FFR project. A version of 1st style (a very early one), beta .43, is available in the "FFR FILES" section of this site. The version of R1 that is available right now, beta .69, is the latest version of 2nd style. It's what's been publicly available and updated for a few years now, which is why so few of you know, much less remember 1st style. R2, an abbreviation for "Remix 2", is a completely different project, built from the ground up. Unfortunately, while pretty good altogether for its initial release, it still has some major flaws (possibly because of the version of flash it was built in). 3rd style is the newest, unreleased version of R1 that everybody is complaining about. Nobody knows what it looks like, how it will perform, features, etc.

Honestly, I think Synth needs to take as much time as he NEEDS. Remember certain video games being pushed back and back because they needed more time? Well, the same aspect works here.

Personally Ill wait for R3 to come out before i judge anything. I hope its Spectacular and makes up for R2's failure. Im not getting my hopes up though ive been waiting for Starcraft: Ghost to come out since 2002

They could screw up r1. They could add something, and remove reverse, in which case, I would only be able to play SM, since, as far as I'm concerned, I can't play without reverse. Btw, my "really soon" is over.

Because that's the way I feel after how much I've been plagued by not having reverse. I feel like they think reverse isn't that important. However, for me, reverse is the most important thing in these games.

Edit, rather than double posting: I've decided that I really should wait until the release of 3rd style before I assert my opinion about this. I guess I really only have the right to complain if it takes forever and sucks, which I seriously doubt that both of these will be true.

Dude, i think they are most likly going to add than take out. Thats just my opinion. This is because it has taken Synthlight and the others that are willing to help longer than expected...
