No sound no nothing, its all about the mind's concentration, so basically like your IQ, last time i checked mine was 161... noob :P 8)

Dvorak is the name of the guy who started it. He did tests on many different types of people, and found it much faster for typing, and also was easier for people to learn. He even tried putting remedial qwerty typists on the thing, and found vast improvement.


Oh, and DiamondDog, that wasn't a very good start in for the forums.

I usually type in excess of 140 with no errors. It depends on what I am typing though. Regardless of what I type, I still suck at ffr.

Yeah, didn't it take around ten years for him to finish or something crazy like that? Also, the Arensito seems to look pretty good in test results.

I'm too lazy to reconfigure and learn Dvorak, already been typing qwerty for years- if I had just been starting out I definitely would have wanted to learn. Reach, how long did it take you to learn Dvorak layout and become faster than it than you are with qwerty right now? If that's not too high of a number I might reconsider. I would like to learn but since I am using different computers sometimes I can't use it everwhere.

you guys are too good. i did wizard of Oz and i was hitting meh, 34-36 WPM. i never bothered to finish it, lol.
