That goes to 35. Fill in any you know of that I'm missing in your html document and then tell me. If it's in the billions then you should post whoever has that score in the thread above. According to that thread you need 1,000,000,000 points to be rank 23 or better.

By the way currently mine is more up-to-date than the official one. I know I'm ahead of the person ranked 31 so I move up to 31 and they move back to 32. Trying to guess the scores of the gap inbetween spaces is hard.

I'm a little confused with the current rankings though.

It used to take 300 seconds to update, now it takes about 5, then gives me an error, yet somehow everyones was updated.

Oh well.

What did the error say? If it said a number like Error 404, a commonly known one meaning the page is missing, then I'll be able to know what it is. Not sure what Error 1 is though :P

LD it's just a stupid computer thing. My CD-Burner will say it's about to erase a CD-RW and about 2 seconds in will give me an error message saying it failed. If you look at the burner the green "writing data" light blinks on and off (meaning it's erasing) for a minute and then when it's done the CD is blank. It's quite genius.

Hey, if it works it works. Apparently the bug made it more efficient. You just have to deal with closing the error message now.

Just outta curiosity, what is the ranking based off of? Total high score?

Yes, ranks are just based on the total points you've scored, the Grandtotal line in the stats sig. The more points you have, the higher your rank should be.

Hmm, no offense to anyone, but seems a bit inaccurate then. Couldn't you just keep doing Beethoven Virus to get mass points and rise the ranks...?

To me it would make more sense to base it off of the total of your high scores from each different simfile. That way it's measuring skill instead of who has the most time on their hands :/

Yes. It doesn't necessarily take skill to get a high rank, just tons of time to play and earn points. However, I am fairly sure that at least some of the highest ranked players are the most skilled around here. You will normally earn more points more quickly if you're a better player with more skill. At the lower end, it's probably mainly a measure of who plays more though.

I think I recently saw the idea of basing it off high scores mentioned before. You might want to check the Suggestions forum and see what's there already. As I recall, a reply said that doing that would be too many database queries which would slow things down and they didn't want to do that.

I fogured it would be too difficult or something to do, otherwise they would be. Never the less... I guess that's what the seasons are for.

Yes, that was mentioned in another thread just yesterday, I think. Like I said there, if you need a reason, blame it on my scientific training.
