    Mini-jack Help

Will you please tell me which songs to practice to get better at mini-jacks, especially ones that are in the middle of other patterns like streams or jumpstreams? Thank you in advance!

Nova Pulsar, while it doesn't have many, if you can learn those monsters you're kind of set for most minijacks in FFR.

However, if you have Stepmania, I would recommend playing Maid Of Fire.

    Other songs that have them:

Ivean Polkka (Rin and Len version)
    Rock Rock Rock (Hard pain.)
    Indo No (something)
Gruntila's Final Battle (On TB Engine.)

But if I were you, I would try getting the hang of Jackhammers, because that will aid you a lot when doing minijacks

    Good songs for this are:

    Grist (Intro only)
Counter Strike Gun Sounds (The one not by Elite Ninja (though his is good, play it anyways :3 )
Devil's Music Box (Not mostly jacks, but they're in there.)
Radio Heads (Very good one! Helps you with anchors as well.)
Hellbeat V2 (This is probably the easiest.)
    Club (jump jacks)

These are the ones off the top of my head, but there's a lot more.

And yes I left out Aim Anthem on purpose. It's good for the pattern, but I wouldn't use it as a skill trainer personally.

Thank you very much! I appreciate how detailed you were, and I'll be sure to practice these songs. ^.^

Play files such as Anisakis, Imprisoned Emotion and Into The Shadow, they have minijacks in streams. Not sure about the others though.

            Re: Mini-jack Help

A thing about jacking: the speed and control of jacking is controlled by your wrists. The wrists are very important for jacking patterns. If your wrists are too stiff, your mobility in hitting repeated patterns is reduced. Finger posture is also important - try to hit the keys with the tip of your fingers.

            stiff wrists = no
flat fingers = no (possible exception to long repeating jacks in songs such as Grist or AIM Anthem)

As for jacks being integrated in streams, I don't have a specific tip. Emphasis on certain beats may help in some cases. It's very situational and depends on the context of the surrounding arrows.

For practice, try the song Chronograph on FFR.

I see; I never knew that the wrists were so important for jacks. I'll make sure my wrists aren't stiff when hitting jacks and mini-jacks in the future. I'm having a lot of trouble with this week's D4 Rivalry songs because half of them have mini-jacks like Trisection V2 and Big Blue, which give me at least 25% of my non-perfect scores. Emphasizing the beats that the mini-jacks are on might help a lot! Thank you for your help.

Bowser the shredder, Club, Nebula [she], scars left by time, the casket of star, radio heads. Those are all really good ones, I know you love arcade so all of these will appeal to you except club.

a massive tip for minijacks is to just be conscious that there's a minijack. You need to, at least like, in your mind, pretty much hit and confirm that you're hitting both of the minijacks.

Why not just make some shit in Stepmania to practice at different BPMs?

                            hmm going by skill-range..

moon_child -Go with the flow- for mini-jack accuracy.
                            Streets for mini-jack consistency.
                            Bit Blue for hand-jumpjacks practice.

Zaghurim's Kasta Sten on stepmania would be the ideal practice file..

Honki Sentai majirenjaa/Big Blue if you feel like pushing limits.
In before someone link Vital Mission in Spanish Desert on alt Engine.

Ironically I can't find a single file in both sm and ffr that contains nearly only a ton of rolls for like 6-8 minutes.

Those jacks are fun to hit.

On a side note Drizzle, it may be a bit too hard for you but you should play Music (for kirby) There are quite a few jack patterns some mini jacks into hands and some nasty anchors at the end of the file.
