Read again, he added a comment about using an offset so that the waiting time is (almost) zero. It would work if instead of the restart button you use the quit button, and simply manage to press quit+restart very quickly after eachother. Basically, if you use for example ASKL you can find a song that starts with [123], set appropiate note offset to have the hand right as you hit restart, have quit on J and restart on H so that you can simply roll your right hand over LJH and trill the AS on and on and on.

Quickedit: It's probably also possible to set up a quad instead, so that the "roll" on the right hand would be [KL]JH instead. For another 33% faster point accumulation.

lowest average rank from clean slate in 24 hours would be more interesting.

this would be pretty amazing, but how would people participate? There would be a lot of (temporary?) alts I think?

Otherwise, yeah, this is an awesome idea.

lol my thoughts exactly, one and done for me with something like that. Thing was to get that 1 bil in a day for me took me I think 3 total attempts before I actually got it. Gamewhore competitions are pretty interesting to watch though.

The alt account that wins will not be deleted.

This was done once, using precisely this method. I think Flaming Dingleberry took it.

                Re: Billion points, one day.

It was done before. The only one that played all 24 hours won. And you weren't allowed to transfer credits from another account so getting credits actually mattered, too. I think it'd be very boring since I can't stand to play so ridiculously many easy songs all the time and they'd surely be the way to get the best average rank since you can get a 1 on so many of them. And also play all the legacy songs; how exciting. We need a best average rank contest that only includes levels difficulty 50+ or something like that so it'd be more fun. Another issue is that r3 users would have a huge advantage since they can use the queue and then have songs already loaded when their current song ends to save time.

Edit: You know what I'd like? A competition to see how high they could get their number of perfects in level rank stats in one day. That'd be fun, and encourage playing hard levels for PA and not mashing. A very fun way to play the game.
