So does anyone know about the gym leader situation? Dark Chrysalis mentioned having an elegant solution for gym leaders but unless I missed it nothing more has been posted, including said solution.

Also Bmah mentioned the possibility of weekly events. I think this is a great idea. It seems like if we had more regular activity and events then this would feel more like a team instead of just a bunch of people who like Pokémon. Not that I am saying that is a bad thing, but it seems like this group is becoming less and less active. Regular events would be a good way to liven the place up.

That said, I do not have any particular ideas other than getting this gym leader concept going. In the mean time I also think it would be cool if we challenge another team to some sort of competition.

There's a new rule regarding any member who wants to join the Skype chatroom. If someone OTHER than Reshiram, Staiain, or myself adds you to the chatroom, you cannot type messages nor receive any messages from the chat until one of us changes your skype role from "APPLICANT" to "USER". If I'm not around, please PM me and I'll add you to the chatroom when I become available.

This procedure had to be done unfortunately because some idiot decided to add a whole bunch of non-members to the chat with the intention of creating chaos and arguments. Dear idiot, you know who you are. Don't do it again.

By the way everyone, just a reminder:

As you may be aware, steppers/simfilers may soon submit their files for an upcoming regular batch in mid/late August, which is fast approaching.

I will give anyone:

• 2000 credits for sending in a Pokemon-related simfile
  8000 credits if the Pokemon-related simfile is accepted into the queue
  The above applies to each user for a maximum of two Pokemon-related simfiles per batch. So you can theoretically get up to 20000 credits from me per batch.

Just to make things easier for me, please let me know the songs you're submitting that are related to this offer if you do plan to step some Pokemon-related songs.
I'm hoping this is a somewhat decent incentive to get people to step more songs!

I've updated the roster up to this point. Also, I'm putting up a new sponcon.

Reshiram's Video Challenge
Take any song you'd like and write some parody lyrics to go with the tune. Then, sing it on camera. Be creative! I'll be judging this based on creativity, humor factor, singing ability, and relevance to Pokemon. Bonus points if you take an existing Pokemon song and parody it!

Prizes will be based on participation, but the ending pool will be 100K from me. I will accept donations to raise this pot if you'd like to contribute.

Since this one's a video challenge and requires a lot of thought, this one's gonna last until Saturday, September 8th at 11:59PM. That's a month for y'all to flex that brain for humor!

For fun, I'll also be making one for this, but I won't be receiving prizes. I might get bmah to help judge, so there's more than one judge.

I'd prefer them to be Pokemon songs, but you can use other songs if you really want.

Also note, they don't have to have lyrics in the first place, ie you can make lyrics to Rondo Alla Turca if you want.

Activity will inevitably boom and wane. But there's a lot to look forward to; from new games and apps (Pokemon Black/White 2, Pokemon Dream Radar, Pokedex 3D Pro, etc.) to events on FFR itself. We just have to think of some ideas. I have yet to get around to the gym leader idea that someone posed earlier in this thread...
