As the title states I've got some concerns regarding the new difficulty set-up.

My current concern that's top of my list is the random selection of songs by difficulty on legacy... As I know the 13th difficulty was added to the random song chooser before I'm sure 1-20 can be added with extreme ease, But while we're on 1-99 Could we please have 1-99 to select through? I can't play with my normal style as it is now and I'm discouraged to play because I have to actually select each song instead of going in and just randomly keysmashing whatever randoms up next.

My second concern lis regarding the guidelines for Oni when we go to 1-20 or 1-99 or whatevers happening there. Will the guidelines be changed, can the list PLEASE BE UPDATED WITH NEW RELEASED SONGS, and in gneral can Oni be re-defined with the changing of the average skill level of players and again... UPDATE DAT ONI UNLOCK LIST.

The numbering of 1-100 is only temporary*. The difficulties that will be shown in-game will change to 1-20, so I doubt there will be implementation of randomizing the temporary 1-100 difficulties.

*the purpose is to basically order the songs on a more refined scale, but this isn't the actual range of difficulties seen in-game


As for Oni, I dunno what'll happen, but I'm fairly sure something will have to change, whether it's the requirement itself or the inclusion of new songs. The problem with the Oni requirement in the first place was that it was a requirement that had to be constantly maintained/updated, and thus a pain to coders of the game. This was a shortsighted decision that left only a number of specific songs eligible for the Oni unlock. This is also why the St. Scarhand unlock was restricted to Reality, as opposed to any FGO.

I feel as if it you relegate a requirement to "These songs from this difficulty" rather than "Any song from this difficulty" it won't need to be maintained, and long as we stop deflating ratings (or would that be inflating?)

What good would it be to have a group of songs from this difficulty coded in, when more songs from that difficulty may be included in the game at a later point? That's what we have now: "a set of songs from this difficulty" which were represented a number of years ago, but does not include newer songs with the same difficulty.

That's what the OP wants changed.

Regarding the random feature, there has been some engine updates that haven't been put in place yet. These will be a priority over the next few days. As stated on the front page, try to bear with us during this transitional period~

Edit: Regarding [Oni] and [Heavy], there will be some updates. The [Oni] unlock list was being revised not long before this difficulty project was started.

Another case of ~stay tuned~ but I want to assure you that these are a priority, and won't be left unattended for great lengths.

I think he is implying FROM famouz, and everything above; the same for Rottel.

Not certain a discussion about the swapover to the updated list will be needed as we have a team working on these things atm.
