well depends who your comparing yourself to, but you should try to be as good as you yourself can be, not better then some one else. so if FC'ing VC's is good for you then thats good, and you are a good player for your standards.

I'd say you're a good player when you can go play FFR on public computers and attract attention to yourself.

But depending on where you are, those standards can be pretty low... I used to draw a crowd back in the day playing CIA Rave.

But really, good is a relative term.

I think playing the game regularly, improving, and being active in the forums makes you a good player. (Geez, by my own definition I'm terrible :<) Obviously there's always someone better out there somewhere, and the only thing you can really do is work to improve yourself as best you can.

You shouldn't really be concerned with how others view your skill, as much as you should how you view yourself. Don't label yourself a bad player just because you cant get X goods on a song, just be happy with what you can do and practice until you can do better.

I like this definition because it makes me feel like a good player. haha!

I say that because if you can't DDG a FGO, your skill isn't at that range. Anyone who can play FGOs is good in my opinion, but a DDG on a FGO file is what everyone who sucks aims for. So, instead of saying "go sdg rage template nub then ur good", it gives the player more hope to attain the score. Besides, SDG on Rage Template is godly.
Anyone who says you have to get sub 50 Goods on a FGO file to be good, needs to die.

I say if someone can play CIA Rave or AAA without breaking a sweat, they are considered through my eyes as a good player.

From then on, it's what makes them an exceptional player.

i never realized we had an amateur tp list .... by the list from the link i have almost 300 tier points lol.. but on my page i have 84.. is this just the old TP list?

Yes indeed this is the old TP list. I have all but 30 from this list and until I max it out I will define myself only as good/decent.

Well, everything is relative if you want to define a good player. If you compare players like myself to the average person, it is obvious that I am good, even attracting attention to myself by others watching me play at lunch, in school, or whatnot. Then again, you compare me, a D4 player, to someone in D6, well you can expect that I would suck against one of those players! I would be terrible! Therefore, being a good player is relative, and it all depends on how you score against others/how you play.

But yes "good" is a relative term. In my opinion you become good when you get the Heavy token, but I still have a while to go before I get that.
