Pretty much. Which is why we left your round song the same. If Casper decides to play, he has to play the same song. Not gonna let him beat you by accidentally picking a song he may be better than you at.

If he decides to play, and submit a score, it will be valid for 24 hours.

Did this in case he *chose* not to submit due to an inability to beat your score. We won't knock you for actually playing and submitting though. Just give him the benefit of the doubt that he forgot to submit, and an extra 24 hours to submit.

If he doesn't submit, would you like to try your hand in D2? =]

Due to the gross amount of non-submitters in round 2 we have decided to give everyone a free pass on to round 3. The difficulty has continued to climb to keep pace with the rounds, however if you did not submit a score last round you face possible elimination within the next 24 hours if you do not either post in the tournament thread or reply directly to me. We will finalize the bracket pairings once we have established who will remain in the tournament.

How is that even remotely fair? Why does anyone deserve a free pass?

Also, I thought shayne was putting Shikari in D5.. he got freaking 7 clean on Frictional Nevada...

well if they just ran out the tournament how it was supposed to play out, I with the second best score in my division would be eliminated and some people that didn't even play at all would move on...

The normal course of actions would have been to put this round on hold, get in contact with the non-submitters, make them get scores/give more time to people who already have a score to improve it (let's say another 2 days) and move on to next round after?

Oh yeah, Shikari is at least D5 too.

that's how bracket style works but this isn't march madness. Not everyone is going to play and play their hardest. I believe that it was to such an extreme that it needed to be tweaked.
