I mean, I've voiced numerous times that I'm pretty strongly against having divisions to begin with. But if their existence is predicated on making a more enjoyable tournament structure so that anyone can 'win', this vod is substantiated proof that D7 hosts a skill range far wider than any other division and the bottom of the barrel there is getting screwed far harder than anyone else in D1-D6.

I'd like to believe that was common knowledge amongst a lot of players but this demonstrates the extent to how wide that gap is. Anyone at the bottom of D1-D6 has a shot of winning their division (albeit very small ones as you close in on D5/D6) given the skill ceiling is much further up, and those players haven't hit diminishing returns on skill gains to the extent D7 players have. Low D7 quite literally has no theoretical shot.

But yes to reiterate, I'd prefer them not being a thing in the first place.

I gotta get back to getting things set up for the tournament. I put D8 in, I'm going to figure out exactly who all belongs there in the coming days. We put in the glaringly obvious but I'm not sure of cutoff just yet. I did already create a D8 title as you can see on AJ there, as per anything else with it right now I don't know. Chances are it will just run alongside 7 with the same prizes and such, but I will update as I figure things out.

I don't want any huge arguments over it in this thread, let's keep this light and fun here, please. Maybe go do the spon con that ends in an hour, only 3 people participated.

It's time for a sponcon! Though apparently due to a difference in the engines seems you will need to use the newer to not be at a disadvantage here. Apologies in advance to anyone still on velocity or legacy (don't think too many are though)

For a second I thought there had always been a "FFR Music producer" title comparing the two yellow icons, because the color intensity on music producer icon is slightly brighter. And my next assumption was that everyone didn't like using the title, but looks like I was wrong since both titles occupy the same username color. Today I learned something

I'd prefer the scoring not be cumulative, cutoffs and the fact that at the start of each round everything is equalized is pretty hype and keeps people in the tournament without feeling dragged down by a previous bad score
