So. This song I've been stepping is really repetitive, can somebody cut it for me?

There's 3 BBs...and like the BB series, these songs all sound relatively different.

Glad you like the idea though. =P

Well one thing for sure is that nothing new will be added to the game until Tass comes back from his trip, which I think is in the 25th of June.

                    Hey guys, I'm new here.

So I'm stepping something and I wanna try to submit it, but I was wondering, what are the rules for jack usage and hitting more than 2 notes at once? I assume we can use any BPM changes or stops in our .sm, right?

Stops no, but bpm changes sure. Not sure what you mean about the other stuff.

                        Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread

I thought stops were fine for syncing purposes...
Jacks are fine as long as they're musically relevant (usually, I think?), which is important. Don't use them when there's no relevance. Not sure if there are other limitations other than, like, don't use a lot of hard jacks in an easier file. (I've noticed judges picking at difficulty gaps.) Also, apparently, there's some kind of "jack theory" I'm not aware of.
The rules for hitting more than two notes at once is easier. Hands should only be used in FMO-or-harder difficulties. Because some keyboards can't register three keys at once, they're not allowed in easier files.
Also, if you're new to stepping, you may want to get some respected FFR simfile authors to test your file. That's better for getting help, because you have to wait a month-or-however-long for the judges' feedback after the batch closes.

                        P.S.
In case anyone's interested, I sent in four easy files (they're all easily one-handable, two are really easy, and two might be Difficults) and two VCs. Yeah, with summer and stuff, I'm working on files again sometimes.

I'm pretty sure FFR can't handle stops. That's what I read somewhere.

                              Of course it can.

And files are put in the game at random.

I was also wondering what kinds of songs were considered good. A few people have recommended OSTER Project to me and I found something, but I'd like to know if it's a good choice.
