it's a 4 game scratch singles PBA Experience league. started at 9. finished at like 10:45. took me 10 minutes to drive home, about 3 minutes to stop at Wendy's for late night dinner. 5 minutes to eat it, about 10 minutes to talk to people on AIM, and whatever the rest of the time til now to read a few threads.

will finish reading the forums... 5-10 minutes. then will start writing up the batch notes.

ps - it's only 11:30 here.

You lucky sob, I really wanted to do one of the PBA Experience leagues, but I was already doing a kids league and if I do an adult league than I am out of youth ones forever.

Oh well, since I practically live at the bowling alley, I can just ask them to set up different oil patterns for me.

wait... really? we have 4 or 5 youth bowlers in our PBA Experience league. they just get gift certificates instead of cash at the end of the season. the USBC has raised the youth sholarship limit to $500 from leagues such as the pba experience. you should be able to bowl in it without any trouble, so long as they give you a gift certificate to something instead of cash.

Awesome!!!! I got 2 / 3 of my first submissions into the queue.. That just made my next 5 days.. Time to go to sleep.. I stayed up 3 hours past the time I usually sleep just to wait for this batch update, lol.

rshadow... it shouldn't have anything to do with your alley... as far as high school athletics, that would be based on your stats. but for college elegibility, that is NCAA regulated, and www.bowl.com has tons of information on youth bowling and college bowling. bowl.com will have every answer you'd need for finding out what really would keep you eligible.

because i'm 100% sure you can bowl in an adult cash league and keep your status as a junior, so long as you don't accept cash and take your winnings in the form of a scholarship gift certificate. up to $500 per year.

as i said, we have 4 junior bowlers in our league. one of whom is expecting to play college baseball next year. none of them have any issues with still being juniors.

USBC Youth members must follow USBC's Youth Eligibility Rule 400, which prohibits bowling for cash prizes or bonds of any amount or merchandise prizes exceeding $500 in value. Buying or selling of earned prizes is not allowed. A USBC Youth member may bowl in adult singles competitions that offer more valuable merchandise prizes or cash as long as, prior to the competition, the bowler signs a prize waiver refusing such awards or the competition organizers agree to substitute comparable scholarship awards for USBC Youth winners.
