yeah after 2 or 3 years of not trying i decided to try stepping again but the problem is i still suck

so whoever doesnt suck, please say so and ill pm you some files im trying to make suck less

my biggest stepping influences are stepper who shall not be named and 0 because i have a roll fetish

1. I try my best to sync with Audacity because the wave forms on DDream work like shit to me.
2. Be as harsh a critic as you can but be constructive and don't be mean or I'll cry to my mommy.
3. My pitch relevancy skills are subpar, I tend to relegate that to jumps for some reason.

EDIT: looks like you already did. toss it in the recycling bin and find better influences for stepping.

well i mean imo Coactive is in the top 10 files of the site, and Mephisto Waltz, October and Gym Leader are pretty fun. i also don't understand how anyone finds Teh Tricky Techno difficult.

there is a pretty clear difference between "fun" and "good". proficient steppers understand the value of finding a balance between technicality and playability which is something xandertrax isn't able to do in a majority of his files.

The whole thing was kinda meant to be tongue-in-cheek because I know Xandertrax is one of the most maligned steppers. It does partially ring true due to my roll obsession though.

just post a link to your file, it's not necessary to PM it. nobody is really going to care if your file is poor and you can just ignore criticism anyways. ....right?

isnt there some sort of rule where an ffr file isn't supposed to have a public stepmania file? i swear that was said somewhere down the line with Synthlight logic being "we need to keep some draw to the game" or something

also i wouldnt ignore criticism because these are some pretty rough drafts (though to be fair, i never make final drafts and when i do they're nearly the same as first drafts)
