ddream works fine for sync, use the wave filter (check patashu's thread on how to use ddream correctly)

okay here are some brief things

donkey punch
a lot of missed 16ths, especially around "areas of special interest" like 37.933s and 42.670s. Something new happening in the song doesn't mean you need to drop all the other layering immediately, the note coloring (for 37.933) and increase in layering on the 8th (for 42.670s) for instance is already giving those one-off events their due

please get ddream and re-do the syncing on the bursts

the 16th jumpjacks are kinda irritating in their spikiness because everything else is so easy. especially the long split ones. nothing too major but consider splitting up the ones that go on for four jacks into 2 and 2. e.g. [23][23][14][14][23] instead of [23]^4 at 86.485s

edit; oh yeah early in the song there are 24ths that don't really seem to go to anything


overall this isn't bad. xandertrax would be disappointed

donkey punch has numerous missing notes, listen on .7/.6. also some layering inconsistencies (@ 76.45 and @79.54s for example). you stepped @ 19.74s as a jumptrill but every else as jacks??? in a lot of places you have different pitches of the melody stepped as the same jump.

it has potential and you have some idea of what you're doing, but it needs a lot of work.

Give me an idea of how to replace the jumptrill. I went in with a jack idea (for the whole song) but then I decided an 8 or 9 note jumpjack would be complete overkill

it's not really a matter of replacing the jumptrill, i'm just pointing out that it's inconsistent with how everything else is stepped. you'd probably be better off just making all of the other jacks jumptrills or something.

EDIT: btw this song isn't that great for stepping, it's a lot of the same triple note rhythm repeatedly
