Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]

    I'm gonna be that guy:

    First post isn't updated.
Missing current batch pic (still says Jan/Feb is being judged LOL), submission update for current batch (3 months out of date, get rid of it if it's too hard to keep current), resubmission list image is one batch out of date, SAP spreadsheet hasn't been updated since literally last year, and queue list is missing a two whole batches of files, and the now-outdated resubmission privileges list at the bottom still hasn't been deleted since it was replaced with the resubmission list image.

    Honestly I just want communication.
It's kinda unnerving to send files into the dark abyss of the submission email and not hear anything about where they are in being processed.

It's alright, I completely understand, and everyone can feel free to shoot the blame my direction. There's no excuse for it, and I'm not going to make excuses for it. I'm going to open up completely here.

I've had a lot of problems maintaining interest in this regard lately and I've already talked to bmah about my situation, but I'll leave things in regards to that a bit more in the air. In addition to this, there's been no songs also because of me, again, full responsibility in regards to this. So, allow me to answer questions before making updates.

Stupidly enough, I still haven't resolved anything with three of the files that were missing a judgment (Specular Reflection, Bird's Midair Heatstroke, and Southern Cross v2) in the last batch. I sent out a number of messages on two occasions in the judgment chat, and there was little to no response. I didn't pursue it any further, so the only one at fault there is myself. I'm the kind of person where if something isn't fully complete, it won't be resolved.

I've also gotten quite lazy about it and just want to take action regardless of missing one judge, but that's an overextension of power, and we all know how uppity people can get in regards to that (and I don't blame them). Silvuh has been doing everything he can to get me to do things little by little, and I am constantly shrugging him off -- not because I want to (because he's an amazing person), but because I've literally not had the capacity to manage anything anymore.

Resubmissions list is out of date, but it's because the Jan/Feb batch was never fully resolved, so it had a lovely snowball effect. You can't determine resubmissions fully without all of the scores being finalized, so again, I have to get that ball rolling to have that done.

No excuse for the SAP spreadsheet, I'll work on that a bit later tonight and try to get things updated.

As far as the situation now: March and April batch is currently in judgment, and has been for quite some time**. May and June is coming up next. May/June batch is a little bit smaller than the average batch. My hopes are that the turnaround will be relatively fast, because I'm literally going to toss that batch out the moment the Mar/Apr batch hits, as it needs to be expedited due to my problems.

If you guys couldn't assume already, this is also holding up the 10th Official Tournament. I know that I'm on my last breath in regards to interest in managing stuff on FFR, and my last goals are to get this batch and the next batch done, and then the 10th up and running. After that... well, that's for me to decide.

** - note: not behind schedule given the start point, but has been in judgment for nearly two weeks.

EDIT: I don't expect anyone to do so, but please, just continue to bear with me as I try to get things moving.

These final scores are considered supplementary and don't affect the curve. If the resubmissions this time are by rating and not top-ten unaccepted, then the ratings of the unjudged files won't affect the files that have already gotten resubmission privilege.

For the SAP, not counting unjudged files:

just curious, can I assume that when you talk about the may/june batch the hard songs batch is included in that....? and thanks for the update.

Front post is updated with the Jan/Feb 2014 queue'd files, and the resubmissions. I'm going to see if I can work into a song release here, as everything else is obviously in reserve for the official (47 files and no releases -- should be pretty obvious).

                    Thanks, AJ.

I appreciate it. Good to see signs of life again, you know.
I do trust that you guys are doing your best, at the same time, sometimes these things take a little reminding (guilty of it myself re: taking 2 months to hand out prizes for my tournament)

I just hope my step won't have a score of like 3/10. I'm pretty sure it's good.. not perfect, but good nontheless.
