With your name and your avatar man, this is deep.
Carlos truly a veteran of the Stepmania ghetto, you are wise to ask him how things work in these parts.Comment

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Sometimes I wonder if judges are just psyching themselves into believing they're not being harsh enough, as opposed to a greater number of files being worse. So far, a good majority of the files I've looked through already have been really cool, and I'm not afraid to say it. There's nothing wrong with "appearing lenient" - it's all about being honest with the scores.
Then again, the low scores might be an effect of one being jaded by seeing so many similar files. As people do new things, it's harder to find more originality.Comment

Bump again as a reminder to check that you're submitting files correctly. Someone has just submitted a file that includes nothing but a .dwi file. Not even a folder.Comment

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Not sure how relevant this is to most of you, but when judging on TS I always thought I was being too mean point wise. Most charts I thought where acceptable got like 6.7 averages (due to the way TS judging worked due to averaging three things together) (This also means they just barely got accepted from me that is) and that was hard to do, because in my head it's like "this file is acceptable, but I don't feel anything about it is that great or memorable so it's just average" but then I'd see other judges give it like a 7 - 9 or something. Always felt weird to me. Then the one time I actually handed out an amazing score it got downed a bit by the others. lolSometimes I wonder if judges are just psyching themselves into believing they're not being harsh enough, as opposed to a greater number of files being worse.
