Rubix, you know that nobody in the SM community is going to give you a formal procedure to follow to prove your legitimacy. Because if they did, and you met their demands, they'd have to admit they were wrong and accept you. And since as you pointed out, the whole BS "thing" is a product of bandwagoning in the first place, once "the community" has decided you aren't legitimate, NOTHING is going to change their mind, not because no proof is sufficient, but because there will always be someone who refuses to back down because they'd look stupid.

EnR. I installed that package and I get like a million messages telling me that the "frame size" etc is off a little and that graphic quality will be down because of it. Every single time I load it I have to agree to a ton of these. What am I doing wrong?

*Edit: Also, all my speedmods seems to be gone while using this theme.

obviously your speedmods are gone............ You gotta do the metrics for this new theme. then when you get the messages you click, do not show again or w.e.

I don't feel like posting my StEpMaNiA EsSaY about this topic for like the nth time but regarding the importance of first impressions in these communities, think of it as if it were StepMania (lol). Say there's a long jack coming your way. If you somehow hit a boo on the first note, and then proceed to jack as you otherwise would have in normal circumstances, you'll hit goods and boos on the rest, -regardless- of how accurately you tap.

Laptops sound like they're really good and I agree. I was playing on my cousins laptop and I got an unrecorded AAA score on " Free Space " and some other stuff that I can't remember but I was like, " ".

Laptops are way better I have to agree, I got most of my speed scores on my friends laptop. Whenever I was on my desktop, I did decent (17-20 misses on OMW) but nothing matched the greatness of the thin keys on that laptop (I miss it!!).

Anyways, Shayne is legit. I've discussed this with him before, when he started to get good (back when he was having trouble with AAAing Lovely Lovely Lovely, and kept getting a black flag, lol). I can see how he progressed, and this AAA doesn't surprise me in the least. Shayne has always been decent at 1x, also. I don't see why that would matter .. some people are just more used to the framing on 1x speed.

Sk8mastr is around alot when I play, and Swabber and starfalcon176 have seen me play.

sk8mastr has seen me get alot of amazing scores, and alot of terrible ones to boot, I'm not always amazing everyday ya know =P

Like when I made that vid....8-1 was the best I could do, I sucked yesterday, no excuses.
Not like it takes me 1 or 2 tries either, to get a good score on a hard song I WHORE THE SHET OUT OF IT, I have the patience to do so, which gets me where I'm at today.
