There have been known to be cases were a victim doesn't feel pain due to extreme shock of what has happened. Things like people getting bitten by sharks but still swimming to shore and calling an ambulance but passing out on the way to hospital due to shock wearing off.

The story still sounds bull****, but all I'm saying is that not feeling pain at first is perfectly believable.

I don't believe this at all, because once my dog attacked me, and although there was a pretty decent hole in my wrist (at least half an inch in diameter) it didn't hurt, but I was panicking, how could you be calm at all.

PS: for a keyboard covered in blood, it works well.
